New moon meditation.
Making sure that you're comfortable.
You can lie down or stay seated.
And as we go into this practice of setting intentions for the next moon cycle,
Just be really clear in your mind of what you are working towards,
What you're calling in,
And any clear intentions that you have.
So just begin by becoming really interested in your breath and perhaps extending the out-breath.
And if it feels comfortable you can count in terms of breathing in for four and holding for two and breathing out for six.
So you're just lengthening that out-breath.
We're just calming the mind and body.
So just following that rise and fall and gently lengthening that out-breath.
And as you do just start to notice the body sinking,
Becoming more relaxed,
Gently letting go.
And as you take your full attention to the heart area,
You may like to place your hand onto the chest.
And if you do really notice the contact of the hand,
The warmth,
The gentle pressure,
Really beginning to connect with the heart space.
Moving into that sense of being rather than thinking and doing.
So just moving into that space of being.
And as you begin to direct the breath into the heart area,
Just bring to mind those feelings of connection,
Love,
Compassion that you have for others.
When you feel most at ease,
Just allow those feelings to awaken in the heart.
And just breathing with those feelings of connection,
Love,
Compassion and allowing that feeling to soften and soothe the body.
And starting now to bring to mind the new moon.
That darkness before the light starts to show.
That time when we can go within and be really clear on what we're calling in,
Where we want to go in our lives,
The changes we might want to make.
And as you connect with the essence of the new moon,
That energy,
That stillness and that quiet,
Bring to mind the intentions that you have for this next phase and for this next full cycle.
What is it that you're calling in?
And as you begin to visualise the intentions that you have,
Whilst in the heart space,
Begin to sense into,
To feel into how it would feel if you'd already reached this place.
Allow your body to feel what it is to already have reached this place and just breathe into the heart.
As you bring to mind this visualisation of having already reached these goals and met your intentions.
Just holding that for a moment,
Really allowing the body to feel what it's like to already be there,
To already have met these intentions.
And knowing that you have firmly set in your mind what you're working towards,
What you're bringing into your life over the next phases of the moon.
We just stay in the heart area for a moment and connect with all that you're grateful for.
And again,
Acknowledging how the body feels as you connect with that sense of gratitude.
As you bring to mind things in your life that you feel a deep sense of thankfulness for,
Really allow your body to feel that and connect with that gratitude.
Allowing it to be a very big part of your being.
Just breathing with that for a moment.
And now as we begin to let all of that go,
Knowing that the intentions are set,
Returning back to your breath for a few moments.
To that rise and fall of the breath.
And connecting with that sense of gravity,
The weight of your body just pulled gently down.
And then in your own time,
Opening your eyes.
