Just taking a few moments to find some physical stillness,
Some comfort,
Finding a position where you feel supported physically in your posture and in your surroundings.
And when you find some stillness,
Just allowing your eyes to close if that feels comfortable.
Always an option to keep your eyes open and remain in your space.
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release.
Another deep breath in.
And let it go.
Just dropping in for the next few moments.
Your only job is to be with your experience,
To listen,
To be present.
There's nothing to do,
There's nothing to fix,
There's no problem to solve,
There's no puzzle to put together.
You're just practicing being with whatever it is you're experiencing.
Whether that's pleasant or unpleasant,
Just taking a few minutes to build space for yourself here so that you can slow your mind down just a little bit.
Focusing on what's around you in your space,
Just listening to sounds.
Or maybe the breath is a better anchor for you.
Maybe touch if you have a soft blanket or something squishy to squeeze.
Just focusing on your senses.
Whatever it is that can anchor you into this moment right here.
Just really taking a few moments to land here and acknowledge that you're safe.
And that you have your own support in this moment.
Perhaps you'd like to give yourself some kind of physical supportive touch.
Maybe wrapping your arms around you and hug.
Or placing a hand over your heart.
Maybe one hand on the belly.
Or maybe a palm holding your cheek.
And as you support yourself in this way,
I'm just going to read a series of comforting thoughts and you can just listen.
Or you can repeat them back to yourself in your own mind.
All the while breathing deeply and staying present.
And if you find your mind wandering back to the conflict,
Just notice that you've gone there.
And then come back to whatever it is I'm saying or any somatic or physical experiences you can notice now in this moment.
I am still good and have the best intentions,
Even if others don't know or acknowledge that.
It's okay to disappoint people sometimes.
It's okay to feel disappointed sometimes.
I am always doing my best.
It's safe to do other things,
To care for myself,
And even to have fun or joy or connection in the midst of conflict.
I fully trust myself to face whatever comes.
Other people's emotions are not my responsibility.
I trust others to navigate their own emotional landscape.
I trust the distance between us can stretch or contract as is appropriate.
I can only help when I am invited to.
I am only responsible for my side of the street.
I am loved even when I feel separate from others I am safe to disagree.
I am safe to have my own perspective.
I am safe even when I feel disconnected.
So just sitting with that for a few moments,
Breathing with whatever came up.
Noticing the physical sensation in your body.
Noticing any emotions or thoughts that come Perhaps offering yourself a little compassion here.
Maybe a deep breath.
Imagining breathing in love and understanding Releasing anxiety and tension knowing that even when you feel disconnected you always have your relationship to self your relationship to the earth.
Your relationship to life.
Breathing into that.
Knowing that you are held.
That love can exist even during conflict that conflict can result in deeper intimacy.
Trusting the process.
And trusting yourself to stay with yourself through all of it.
