Yoga Nidra: Welcoming Joy
Joy is not something we force or achieve. Often it arises quietly when we soften our striving and return to the simple experience of being alive. In this Yoga Nidra practice, we gently turn toward the body, breath, and inner landscape with compassionate awareness, allowing space for joy to emerge naturally. Rather than chasing happiness, we practice remembering the deeper sense of wholeness and aliveness that is already here. You may choose to practice sitting comfortably or lying down. If lying down, placing a pillow or blanket beneath your head and knees can add comfort. You may also wish to use an eye pillow and cover yourself with a blanket, as the body often cools as it relaxes.
