Find a position that feels comfortable and supportive.
For you right now.
You might sit,
Lie,
Stamped.
Move gently or change positions whenever you wish.
Your eyes may remain open.
Resting in a soft gaze,
Or you may close them if that feels comfortable.
Allow yourself to experience this practice in a way that feels most natural to you.
Today we're going to explore something very simple.
Support.
Perhaps begin by noticing something around you that is supporting your body.
The chair beneath you.
The floor beneath your feet.
A bed?
A wall.
A cushion.
The ground.
Something you're leaning against.
Simply notice the experience of being supported.
Something beneath you is holding some of your weight.
Allow yourself a moment to recognize this.
And perhaps become curious about how you might experience a little more ease.
Is there somewhere in your body that would welcome a little more support?
Maybe you'd like to lean back.
Let an arm rest.
Relax your hands.
Shift your feet.
Adjust a pillow,
Or settle more comfortably into the position.
You've already chosen.
Notice what it is like to have a choice.
To listen to your body.
To respond to what feels supportive.
And now,
Perhaps,
Become curious about the experience of being held.
What does being held mean to you?
What helps you experience comfort.
Reassurance.
Or support.
Perhaps warmth.
A blanket,
A familiar room.
Music movement.
Prayer.
Nature.
The presence of someone you trust.
The companionship.
Of an animal.
A hand you choose to place gently against your own body.
Or perhaps something entirely different.
Allow yourself to recognize what feels supportive to you.
What helps you experience the comfort of sharing life's moments,
Responsibilities.
Or challenges.
You might notice something that is supporting you.
Right now.
Or perhaps remember a time when someone offered you care.
A moment when you felt hurt.
Understood.
Encouraged.
Or lovingly support it.
Perhaps someone listened.
Stayed beside you.
Offered help.
Made something easier.
Shared a responsibility.
Or simply made room for what you were experiencing.
You may choose to remain with a comforting memory.
Or bring your attention to something present with you here.
A sound.
The room the floor beneath you.
Something you can see.
You choose where your attention rests.
And you can gently guide it toward whatever feels most supportive.
Now perhaps notice if there is a small amount of effort,
You would enjoy setting down for a moment.
Something you feel ready to soften.
A little tension.
A responsibility you can briefly put aside.
Or the effort of holding yourself in a particular way.
You might allow your shoulders to soften,
Your hands to rest.
Your jaw to relax,
Your body to settle into the support beneath you.
Your thoughts may continue to move.
Your feelings may be present.
Allow yourself to experience this moment just as it is.
Perhaps you discover a little more space,
A little more ease,
Or simply a greater awareness of what you are experiencing.
And now,
Notice what continues to support you.
The chair.
The floor.
The room,
The people in your life.
Something familiar.
Something you trust.
Something you've lovingly created for yourself.
Support can take many forms,
And you have the freedom to discover and choose the forms that feel right for you.
Perhaps ask yourself,
Quietly,
What helps me feel supported?
And where might I welcome a little more support into my life?
Allow these questions to rest gently within you.
Perhaps an answer begins to arise,
A feeling.
An image.
A memory.
A possibility.
Or perhaps you simply enjoy this time in your own presence.
For now,
Notice once more what is beneath you.
Around you.
Beside you.
And if it feels good.
Allow yourself to receive.
A little of that support.
To rest into what is here,
To appreciate what is available to you.
To experience the comfort of being supported in a way.
It feels right for you.
You are worthy of care.
You are worthy.
Of kindness.
You are worthy.
Of support.
Let this be a moment of receiving.
A moment of listening.
To yourself.
A moment of allowing comfort to be part of your experience.
Take your time.
And when you're ready.
Begin to return your attention.
More fully.
To the space around you.
Notice something you can see.
Perhaps a sound.
Perhaps where your body meets whatever is supporting it.
Carry with you the awareness that support can take many forms.
And that you can continue to discover,
Create,
And welcome the support that feels meaningful in your life.
Continue with your day.
Whenever you're ready.
Namaste
