Welcome to a short meditation connecting with our root chakra to ground,

To feel safe and from there to take your space,

To take your place in this world.

Come into a comfortable seat.

I really suggest you practice seated.

This could be in a chair with your feet planted or also sitting on the ground or on a cushion with your legs crossed,

Connected to the ground.

Sit up nice and tall.

Once you've found your position,

If it feels comfortable,

Allow your eyes to close gently.

Relax your shoulders.

Take a moment to notice also how you can possibly relax all your facial muscles just a little more.

Soften the face and release any other subtle tension from your body.

With another exhale,

Become aware of your breath as it flows in and out through your nose and start guiding your breath as you inhale through your nose all the way down through the throat,

The midline of your body,

The center of your chest,

Your abdomen,

Into your legs and feet.

And as you exhale,

Pull the breath up from your feet through your legs,

Through the center of your hips,

Up your spine and out the nose.

Let this image breathe a couple of times here deeply.

Drawing in the breath,

Letting it flow through the center energy line of your body all the way down to your feet.

As you exhale,

Draw it up through the center energy line and about.

Become aware how the breath nourishes your entire body.

And as you inhale,

Stay here at the base of your spine,

The spot where your root chakra is situated,

The end of your spine.

Stay here and feel the breath flowing through this area of your body.

Maybe you can feel and create heat through the color of red,

Beautiful red that circulates at the base of your spine.

Let this energy circulate bigger and possibly this energy starts to circulate down into your legs and feet and into the ground.

And it circulates up your spine and through your torso,

Into your arms and hands,

Your throat,

Your head.

Feel how you circulate this beautiful energy of being grounded,

Rooted as it circulates through your whole body.

Bathe yourself in this beautiful energy.

And if you like,

Out loud or just in your head,

Repeat to yourself,

I am safe.

I am safe.

I am safe at all times.

And from here,

Start to circulate your energy out and into the room you're in.

Maybe the color of the energy is changing from this pure red into a little bit more light.

Let it circulate out into the room.

Grow it bigger and bigger.

Let it circulate out through the entire space around you.

And then grow it bigger and bigger.

Keep breathing and circulating from the center of your body.

Allow energy to circulate out more and more.

There's so much more.

Take your space.

Let it circulate out into the world.

Grow it as big as the town you're living in.

Grow it bigger and bigger.

Go all the places you can imagine.

And you can go bigger,

Even bigger.

Stay,

Expand,

Take your place.

Create space and stay grounded.

Take your place.

It is safe to take your space and to take your place,

To shine your light all through the world.

Very slowly,

Start to take yourself back to the light inside the body,

The energy within.

You can come back to the base of your spine,

Your root chakra if you like.

Maybe it feels good to do a little movement with your hips here.

Maybe not.

Your body will show you.

Maybe you have this urge to bring in,

Mmm,

Because it feels good.

Be back here,

Rooted with that energy of having space and being able to create space for yourself at all times to take your place.

Start to slowly deepen your breath.

Become aware of your entire body in the space you're in,

Where you're seated.

And in your own time,

Slowly come back,

Opening your eyes,

Coming back to the lighter side and into your day.
