Welcome to a visual meditation practice.
Find a comfortable place for you to settle and let your breath be easy and natural for a few moments,
Like a quiet tide coming and going.
As you find yourself becoming more relaxed,
Soften your eyes or close them if that feels comfortable.
Begin by sensing your body resting here,
Supported,
Held by the ground.
You don't need to do anything.
You don't need to go anywhere.
Allow your limbs to be heavy,
Even your bones relaxing.
Now imagine you are outside,
In that sacred time just before sunset,
When the world turns warm and slow.
The light around you is soft,
Gold spilling across the edges of everything,
Gentle and steady,
Like a quiet invitation to breathe deeper,
To pause and linger.
Feel the warm glow touch the top of your head,
Like sunlight resting there,
Not bright,
Just easeful,
Safe,
Familiar.
With each inhale,
Imagine the golden light gathering at the crown of your head.
With each exhale,
Let it soften down through your face,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
The warm of the light basking on you,
You basking in it.
This light is not here to change you,
Only to warm what already exists.
You see the sun low on the horizon,
Casting long shadows,
Making everything honest and beautiful.
As you breathe,
Let the light move down your arms into your hands,
Pooling softly in your palms with a gentle heat.
Feel it spill down your spine,
Warm and grounding into your chest and into your belly.
Feel it settling into your center,
Like a steady glow from within.
This ray,
This orb of light,
Warming you from the inside.
Allow your breath to deepen,
Not by force,
Just by comfort,
Like you have more space now to take in more breath,
And more ease found within you to slow your exhales down.
The world around you is unhurried.
You feel that there is more than enough time to allow yourself to be still.
The warmth within you,
The light around you giving you permission to pause here.
Imagine the ground beneath you soaked in that golden light,
Still holding you steady,
Anchoring you in quiet safety.
Each inhale brings warmth,
Each exhale softens tension.
There is nothing to fix here,
Nothing to get up for or get away from.
You are simply just resting inside a moment that loves you and offers you care.
The warmth of the light,
An orb of safety that you can land in.
Take one more slow breath in,
As if you're breathing in soft sunbeams,
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself settle a little deeper,
Become a little more present.
Let the light fade into your body,
Not disappearing,
But rather becoming yours to carry.
Begin to return gently,
Feel your feet,
Feel your seat,
Feel the space around you,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes or lift your gaze.
See more light here,
Feel all the light within you.
Allow the light that now has become you to carry you,
To remind you that you are held.
You are held and you are a beautiful light.
