Hi there!
Welcome back.
This is Day 4 of the 7 Days to Coming Back to Yourself.
I'm Diane.
I'm so glad you're here.
Today we are going to be working with letting go of what you've been holding.
Let's take a centering breath together.
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Good.
We're just arriving right in this moment.
If it's comfortable for you to gently close your eyes,
I invite you to do so.
Or just soften your gaze.
I'd like you to imagine,
And this doesn't mean forever,
This is just for now,
But imagining that you are somewhere in nature wearing a backpack.
And that backpack feels quite heavy,
Quite weighted,
Pulling on your shoulders and your neck and your back.
Because you have been carrying a lot,
Maybe more than anyone,
Even yourself,
Realizes.
And I'd like you to imagine that wherever you are in this place of nature,
That you remove the backpack and open it up and you see that inside your backpack are stones.
And each stone represents a weight that you've been carrying.
These could be physical tensions,
Pains.
These stones could be past traumas,
Past experiences,
Negative experiences.
These stones could be connected to people,
Relationships,
Work situation that don't serve you to your highest good.
And all these things can weigh us down.
But just for this moment I invite you to take as many of those stones out of your backpack.
And you have a choice to make three piles of the stones in front of you.
The first pile are stones that you're ready to let go of that you've been carrying.
The second pile are stones that you're not quite sure what you want to do with them.
And the third pile are stones that you're not ready to let go of,
And that's ok.
But as you remove all these stones from your backpack just pause as you look at them as you feel into what they each represent in your life perhaps how long you've been carrying them how long they've been weighing you down and seeing them in front of you on the ground and not having the backpack on your back perhaps you feel a little lighter already perhaps you're noticing that your body is gently softening even the slightest bit so just take a nice deep breath in here and a slow breath out knowing that you do not have to hold everything all the time looking at the pile of stones that you know you're ready to release,
To let go of see yourself picking each one up one at a time and throwing it as far away from you as you can maybe that's off the side of a mountain or far into the ocean but really feel into what it's like to have control of letting it go every single one of them in that pile and then,
When you're finished looking at the pile where you weren't quite sure if you were ready to let these things go looking at each one again and noticing how you're feeling after releasing the first pile decide again are there any here in this pile that I feel like I could let go of and if so do the same thing you just did with the others picking each one of those things up,
Those stones and releasing them as far away from you as you can and when you've released them all all the ones that you're ready in this moment you can always search for them again if you feel you need to come to home base again,
One hand on the heart the other on your solar plexus anchoring in your breath and this feeling of empowerment and lightness and take a moment of gratitude for each of those stones that you've been carrying even if they don't feel like they were a positive thing in your life they brought you to this moment in time so with a new sense of peace a new sense of empowerment go ahead and put any remaining stones back in your backpack and putting your pack back on your back and noticing how much lighter it feels of releasing some of the weight that you've been carrying you don't have to hold everything all the time see yourself returning back to your starting place this time feeling lighter feeling clearer feeling a little more at peace and back to yourself thank you so much for joining me and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow on Day 5 take good care
