Namaste everyone,

A very warm welcome to all of you in this live meditation session with me Dhyansa.

We are meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.

You and I have met a thousand times,

But chances are that we never really met.

You and everyone else must have met a thousand times,

But chances are that you have never really met anyone.

You and your loved ones,

The ones that live with you day in day out,

You have met them a thousand times,

But chances are that you have never really met them.

You and yourself.

A thousand times you have met yourself,

But chances are that you have never really met yourself.

And you are living on this island all alone by yourself,

Waiting to meet,

Waiting to meet me,

Waiting to meet everyone else,

Waiting to meet your loved ones,

Waiting to meet yourself.

What is this meeting?

This meeting is what Rumi calls that place which is beyond the right and wrong,

Which is beyond this or that.

Only at that place there is really a meeting.

A meeting of you and I.

A meeting of you and everyone else.

A meeting of you and your loved ones.

A meeting of you and yourself.

That place that can only be called as silence.

This silence where there is nothing in between,

Nothing in between you and I,

Nothing in between you and everyone else,

You and your loved ones,

You and yourself.

When there is nothingness in between,

In that silence there is a meeting.

And you have been waiting for that meeting.

You have been attempting that meeting in all these 1001 meetings that you do day in day out.

In those meetings,

The real meeting only is happening when there is silence.

But all our life,

We go on avoiding that meeting.

There is the possibility of that meeting in every second,

In every moment of life there is a possibility.

There are infinite possibilities of that meeting in life.

But we go on missing that possibility one after the other,

Moment by moment,

Second by second.

We never allow that meeting to happen.

You can observe this in your conversations when you are talking to someone.

When you are talking to someone on the phone or on a video or in person,

You are talking and you are making sure that the words continue.

The moment there is silence,

You feel insecure,

You feel a certain awkwardness because the meeting starts to happen.

The moment there is silence between you and the other.

The moment there is silence between you and me.

The meeting is possible.

But we fill it with words.

We bridge it with words.

We skip the meeting and we feel safe in continuing with that meeting.

We continue with the meeting of the minds.

We continue with the meeting of the words.

We continue just this meeting on the surface.

We never allow that meeting.

That is supposed to happen in the first place.

That you are looking for in every meeting that you do,

That you come across in life.

That meeting is beyond the mind,

Beyond the words,

Beyond just the surface.

That meeting is even beyond the heart,

Beyond just love.

That meeting is not just the meeting of the like minded.

See that you are looking for like minded conversations,

Like minded people just because you want something to meet.

The inner meeting is yet pending but you still go on meeting on the mind in agreement when you agree with someone,

With someone's thought which resonates to your own thought.

There is a meeting and you are just happy,

Satisfied on the surface.

Deep down you remain unsatisfied.

Deep down you are still looking,

You are still searching,

You are still waiting for the meeting to happen but on the surface you have met the thoughts,

You have met the like minded and you somehow compromise with it.

If you are lucky,

Something deeper happens to you in your life where you fall in love.

In that love,

The meeting that happens is deeper than the mind.

The conversation of the mind may not be agreeable.

The meeting of the mind may or may not happen but the meeting of the hearts happen.

Something more subtle,

Something more real,

Something more deeper has happened and the taste of that meeting,

Of being in love is so beautiful.

But yet you can see it from your own experience.

It does not matter how deep you are in love with somebody but still the meeting,

The full meeting has not yet happened.

No matter how much you dissolve and come together in love,

Still there is something left in you,

There is something left unsatisfied.

That meeting of the silence.

See that the meeting of the silence is deeper than the meeting of the mind,

Is far deeper than the meeting of the love.

Even love cannot satisfy what silence has to offer.

At the pearly gates at the doors of the heaven,

Three women arrived.

Suzy,

Patricia and Tina.

So St.

Peters asked Suzy,

Have you been pure and honest in your life?

Suzy said,

I am an English woman,

I have always been pure,

Always been honest in my life.

St.

Peters said,

Okay,

Okay,

He checked his list,

He said,

Go with that angel to that pink room.

Then he looked at Patricia,

He said,

Have you been honest and pure in your life?

She said,

Yes,

I have always been pure and honest.

My whole life has been as pure as a first snow of the winter.

I have always lived a fully pure and honest life.

St.

Peters said,

Okay,

Okay,

You looked at the list.

He said,

You go with that angel and go to that pink room.

He reached to this third woman,

Looked at Tina.

He asked,

Have you been pure and honest all throughout your life?

Tina said,

Yes,

I have always been honest,

Pure and loving in my life.

I have always loved love.

Love has been so loving to me.

I have always loved love in my life,

24-7 I have just loved in my life.

St.

Peters said,

Okay,

Okay,

He dropped his list,

He said,

Come with me to my room.

Love can take you to places,

But silence is where the real meeting happens.

Look not just for like-minded,

Look not just for love,

Look for silence.

Silence within that takes you to the real meeting with me,

Real meeting with everyone else,

Real meeting with your loved ones and the meeting with yourself.

When you look at the mirror,

A thousand times you have met,

But you have not really met.

It can only happen when you are in silence.

We are moving towards that silence all throughout this journey of Tantra and what follows and what comes along on this spiritual journey so that you can fall in silence,

So that you can fall so deep in silence with me that there is a meeting of you,

Me,

Everyone else and you,

Yourself,

All come together.

That is the only possibility.

All other meetings are just on the surface,

Just are a compromise,

Just are a waiting for the real meeting to happen.

Let us hear what Bhairava has to say in these final remarks of his teachings in Vigyan Bhairava Tantra,

Taking us towards that silence.

Bhairava says,

The breath leaves with the sound ha and comes in with the sound sa.

Whether it forms a mantra,

Hum sa,

And in reverse order,

So hum,

Become aware of its 21,

600 times repetition.

Here Bhairava is using breath,

This repetition of breath,

This sound of breath,

This subtle flow of breath that is there all throughout with us and taking that repetition,

Taking that breath,

That continuity of breath and using that continuity to point at silence.

To say that take this continuity,

Jump from this breath,

This continuity of breath towards silence.

And the way to do that in this technique,

Let me repeat the technique once again for those who are listening to this afterwards and we practice this in our own silence now.

Bhairava says,

The breath leaves with the sound ha.

When you exhale,

There is a sound of breath that is made along with the exhalation ha and comes in with the sound sa.

When you inhale,

The sound of the breath is sa.

Together it forms a mantra,

Hum sa,

The exhalation and inhalation,

The hum sa.

When you put the ha and sa together,

Ma comes automatically in between,

It becomes a mantra,

It becomes a natural mantra that you are continuously repeating along with your own breath.

And in its reverse order,

When the continuity is established,

Some hear hum sa,

Some hear so hum.

It depends on you where your awareness is.

So the way to do this technique is,

You bring your awareness to your breath and you listen to the sound of your breath.

In the beginning,

To start this as a meditation,

You may have to exaggerate that sound.

You may have to make that sound very slightly to remind you that there is this sound,

There is this continuity with the breath that is happening,

The sound of hum sa or the sound of so hum.

If you are focused on exhalation,

You will hear hum sa.

If you are focused on inhalation,

You will hear so hum.

So with inhalation,

Hum with exhalation.

So with inhalation,

Hum with exhalation.

If you reverse that,

It becomes hum with exhalation and so with inhalation.

So both are okay,

Wherever your focus is,

Sometimes it will be so hum,

Sometimes it will be hum sa.

What you have to do is,

You have to listen to the sound of your breath.

Listen to this continuity of your breath.

From that sound,

From that continuity,

You will move towards silence.

A place where there is no sound.

A place where you leave the breath,

Where you are not at all now,

Your awareness is not tied to the breath.

In the beginning,

You start with the breath,

You start with the sound of the breath and as you move along in meditation,

You leave the sound,

You leave the breath and you reach to a place where there is only silence.

In that silence,

Meet yourself,

In that silence,

Meet everyone else.

In that silence,

Meet this space where we all are sitting in absolute silence.

Let us bring this into our own experience by closing our eyes and turning our awareness inwards.

Body taking a posture which is alert and restful.

So restful that you are absolutely still.

So restful that you are balanced.

That you are neither forward nor backwards.

Nor on the right,

Nor on the left.

Nor upwards nor downwards.

Allowing the breath to settle and your awareness on your breath.

On the sound of your breath.

The subtle sound of so hum.

So with inhalation.

Hum with exhalation.

With every breath,

The sound of so hum.

Keeping the breath in its natural pace.

Actually listening to the sound of your breath.

In your mind,

There is this continuity of so hum with every inhalation,

With every exhalation.

With every exhalation,

Fall in silence and continue.

So hum with every breath.

Hum with exhalation.

Taking awareness back to this mantra.

So hum with every breath.

Hum with every breath.

From trying to do it to allowing it to happen.

Renewingapping Military in and out,

Allowing it,

It happens on its own.

Simply listen with every breath.

So Hum.
