Philippians 4 verses 6 and 7.
How do we break free from the fears and worries?
The path to having freedom from anxiety?
The path to having the peace of God?
Philippians 4,
NIV.
Do not be anxious about anything,
But in every situation,
By prayer and petition,
With Thanksgiving,
Present your request to God,
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.
Breathe.
What in your life causes you the most anxiety?
What do you usually do?
The path to having freedom from anxiety?
The path to having the peace of God?
Breathe.
Paul wrote this when he is under house arrest.
Philippians 4,
6,
7.
The message.
Don't fret or worry.
Instead of worrying,
Pray.
Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers.
Letting God know your concerns.
Before you know it,
A sense of God's wholeness,
Everything coming together for good,
Will come and settle you down.
Breathe.
It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Breathe.
Paul gives the solution.
There is no need to fret and worry about the way things are.
Give your problems over to the only one who can actually do something about them.
Breathe.
This discouragement over the problems was robbing your joy.
We are to pray in every situation.
We are to pray in every situation.
Do not be anxious about anything,
But in every situation,
By prayer and petition,
With thanksgiving,
Present your request to God.
This verse gives clear direction and offers hope.
Breathe.
When we really pray about our problems and choose to be thankful,
God will give us peace.
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
He has the power to change any situation and God will change you.
New Living Translation.
Don't worry about anything.
Instead,
Pray about everything.
Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God's peace which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Breathe.
