This is a meditation on Proverbs 31-25.
First,
Get yourself comfortable.
Stretch your spine straight and upright towards heaven.
Relax your body and just have a gentle breath.
See how your breath feels on the in and the out.
Let yourself sink just a little bit deeper into relaxation.
I will be reading several versions of Proverbs 31-25.
The NIV.
She is clothed with strength and dignity.
She can laugh at the days to come.
She is clothed in strength and dignity.
Beloved,
Sometimes do you feel clothed with frustration and apprehension?
We were not designed to live under the heavy weight of worry or frustration.
Our hearts are meant to shine love.
The love of the divine that dwells within us.
Discord happens when we focus solely on ourselves and our own sphere of resources.
Instead of centering our souls in the divine and allowing him to be our portion.
In weakness he is our strength.
With frustration he is our peace.
And when we fear,
Our hope for tomorrow.
Strength and beauty are her clothing and she shall laugh in the latter day.
The Catholic Bible.
We are not talking about the outward person.
We are talking about the inward self.
In Galatians 3,
Paul speaks of clothing yourself with the divine.
When we become children of the divine through faith,
Strength and dignity come through growing in our faith.
When we submit to the spirit and ask him to work in us.
Galatians 5,
6-26.
She is strong and respected and not afraid of the future.
The Good News Translation.
Wrap ourselves in honor and inner beauty and strength.
How can we do this?
I think it's the best thing is to read the Word every day.
This is the best way to know the divine and how he wants us to live.
We can seek the divine and his counsel.
Strength and self-respect are her clothing.
She is facing the future with a smile.
The Bible in basic English.
Strength and dignity.
Take hold of the dignity of the divine and of his redemption.
You have a future and a hope.
Replace worry with laughter.
When this woman smiles at the future,
It implies she is not anxious or afraid of what may happen tomorrow.
She lets tomorrow worry about itself.
Matthew 6,
34.
A prayer.
Please help me put on the strength and dignity.
My divine in the day to come and in the day to day moments.
Even when I think no one is watching.
Help me not to fear,
But to smile at the future.
Give me wisdom and discernment.
So that when I speak words,
They are shared with faith,
Hope,
And love.
Amen.
