A guided meditation to help you slow down, center yourself and unwind. I wanted to make this meditation specifically for POC (people of color) community. There has been so much going on and I think in order to be of any help to the world, we must continue to check in and honor our feelings. Taking care of our bodies and most importantly our minds when the world feels unsafe, dangerous and cold. We will continue to rise and honor our hearts. We are resilient and beautiful. Transcript

Allow yourself to get comfortable.

Breathe in deeply for a few moments.

Allow the tension in your body to release with each breath.

Imagine yourself in your own oasis.

Somewhere where you feel safe and free to be yourself.

This could be in a tropical beach,

In a flower field,

In a park,

Or a quiet room.

You could be laying down on the grass,

Sand,

On a hammock,

Bed,

Or chair.

Picture a white light or being your body,

Surrounding and embracing you.

This light is here to support and ease the heaviness you've been carrying with you in your heart.

Let the light spread from the top of your head down to your neck and shoulders.

If you're experiencing heightened emotions in this time,

Know you are safe to sit with them.

What does your body need in order to feel better?

Does it need to drink water,

Sleep,

Take a nap?

Do you feel better?

The light is now spreading from your shoulders onto your chest.

Breathe deeply as the light continues to ease your tension.

Do you want to be heard?

Is there something you feel you've been keeping inside your chest?

Your body wants you to know your voice is important and valued.

Forgive yourself for any judgment you've put upon yourself and to others.

Your heart is opening and healing.

Your body wants to give you all the space and love to heal.

The light continues to spread now down towards your abdomen,

Running through your thighs,

Knees and legs.

Know that it's okay to slow down and give yourself a chance to breathe.

In order to take affirmative action,

Whether we are healers,

Warriors,

Builders,

Visionaries or storytellers,

Give yourself time to process your body to catch up with your mind and your heart.

This light now has completely embraced you,

Filling and holding you.

You are heard.

You are valued.

You are worthy of love,

Joy,

Happiness,

Security,

And peace.

You are a pillar of love.

You are appreciated.

You are seen.

Divine energy will always be within you as you continue to be a source of light.

Thank you for your presence.

When you're ready,

Put your hands towards your heart.

Thank yourself for showing up and honoring your mind and body.

You can always come here to come back home to yourself,

Unwind,

And check in.
