Beautiful people,
Welcome to the meditation of the root chakra.
Get yourselves comfortable,
Seated on the ground,
Close to earth,
On your yoga mat or a meditation cushion or pillow.
Light up an incense stick or a candle.
The sense of smell is associated with the root chakra,
Muladhara.
Close the eyes and bring awareness to the breath.
Soft inhalation,
Soft exhalation.
Make sure there is no tension in the body.
Everything is relaxed.
Bring your awareness to the meeting point of your body and the earth below you,
The contact points in your sitting bones,
In your feet,
The buttocks,
The glutes.
Breathe space into that area.
Visualize a red,
Vibrant energy growing and glowing like a globe,
The base of your spine.
Root chakra energy activates and as it grows and roots around you,
Across the surface of the floor,
Creating a large circle,
A circle of trust,
A circle of security,
Your own personal safe place.
Let the body become heavy.
Let the breath become light.
Muladhara,
Root chakra,
The red energetic center is all about liberation from fear,
Nurturing that security,
Maintaining it in our lives and remaining centered on ground,
On solid,
Safe earth.
We will affirm the following statement verbally in your mind to reinforce your connection with your root,
With the base of the spine,
With the foundation of the energetic body.
Repeat after me.
I trust in my ability to bring security in my life.
I am safe and firmly rooted.
I am exactly where I need to be.
Tell these words,
These statements to echo in your mind,
To echo and energize the foundation around you and underneath you.
Bring your mind back to the red energy at the base of the spinal column.
Visualize the red colors.
Visualize the roots connecting with raw organic soil.
You are safe.
You are here.
You are now.
Allow yourself to be immersed in silence for a few moments.
Breath on the move.
Breath is flowing.
Observe the stillness within you,
Returning the awareness back to the breath,
Deepening the inhalations,
The exhalations,
Inviting life,
Vitality back to the body.
Feel the security of the earth beneath you.
Trust in your ability to maintain this security.
Let your consciousness return back to the entire body,
Returning back to life.
Invite movement to your fingers,
To the feet.
Feel the sensations of the contact points between you and the ground beneath you.
Awake.
Arise.
Return.
Trust.
Secure.
Safe.
Inhale the hands as they open to the sky,
Drawing a circle,
Connecting the palms together as one.
And guide the hands down to the chest in prayer.
Blink the eyes open.
