Most of us believe our inner child is a wound we'll carry forever — something to manage, soothe, and protect for the rest of our lives. I don't believe that. I believe we can grow her up. In this talk, we explore what it actually means to reparent your inner child — not just to comfort her in the moment, but to help the stunted, rigid parts of her mature into the fullness of who you already are. Using the image of a capsule toy that expands into something soft and whole when given warmth, we'll talk about why premature forgiveness of others can actually keep her small, why being "selfish" in this healing is not only allowed but necessary, and what becomes possible—more flexibility, more wholeness, more access to yourself—when she's finally able to expand and fill the hole she's been hiding in. This isn't about staying stuck in the wound. It's about integration.
