At the end of,
Well the end-ish of this meditation,
We will ask a question to the goddess Sarasvati.
So she is a goddess surrounding intuition and creativity.
She also helps you to use your voice.
So if you want to think of a question now,
You can.
It's also sometimes really lovely to just kind of see what pops up as we've gone through the meditation.
Maybe there's something that you didn't even know you needed.
She also helps with projects or completing anything.
So just an idea of ways that she could help.
Like I said,
Creativity,
Intuition,
Projects,
Also using your voice.
And your question doesn't necessarily have to be surrounded by that.
I would,
To be quite honest,
Just do the first one that pops in your head,
Not the first one.
Or just let it come at the end.
Start to really settle into our lying down position.
Maybe take a breath in.
Let out anything that might be holding on to you from this week or today.
And taking any last moments to make yourself comfortable.
So we will be here for the full 30 minutes.
So if that blanket is just annoying your hand,
Move it out of the way.
Make sure you're really comfortable.
And if you have not done so already,
Let's begin.
Noticing our breath.
Internally watching or in practicing.
Allow it to be your focus as we begin meditation.
As you're breathing,
If you notice any points of the body that might be tight or feel like they're setting the breath to that area.
Or you can even just say soften.
Since we're all lying down,
Allow the entire back of the body to become very heavy,
Weighted,
And fully let go.
Whether you have done yoga nidra before or not.
Releasing any expectation that you might have this evening.
And I invite you to be fluid and present.
Just see what might pop up.
Let's see.
We'll begin by traveling around the body,
Relaxing certain points.
And I will name that point.
All you need to do is just bring your awareness to that area and then soften,
Release it.
Let's begin at the third eye.
This is located between the eyebrows,
But a couple inches back from the forehead.
Relax this area.
Soften.
Let it be open,
But protective.
Relax your throat center,
Your right shoulder,
Right elbow,
Right wrist,
The thumb,
Pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger.
Relax the wrist,
The elbow,
The right shoulder,
Throat center,
Left shoulder,
Left elbow,
Left wrist,
Tip of the thumb on the left side,
Pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
The wrist,
Left elbow,
Throat center,
Heart center,
Center of the chest,
Right side of your chest,
Heart center,
Left side of your chest,
Heart center,
Navel,
Center of the pelvis,
Right hip,
Relax your right knee,
Right ankle,
Hips of the toes on the right side,
Your big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Right ankle,
Center of the pelvis,
Left hip,
Left knee,
Left ankle,
Hips of the toes on the left side,
Big toe,
Third toe,
The left ankle,
Left knee,
Navel,
Relaxing the whole body.
Next time,
Take an inhale.
I want you to imagine the inhale traveling from the top of your head all the way down the entire body to the soles of your feet.
And as you exhale,
The breath travels from the top of your head to the soles of your feet,
All the way back up around the head.
As you inhale,
There is a bright light sparkling down through the entire body,
Removing any stagnation,
Debris.
And as you exhale,
The light travels back up.
Staying with your breath as you inhale,
And exhale it back up,
Surrounding the entire body of this beautiful,
Sparkling,
Golden,
White light.
Knowing that you're removing anything that is not serving.
Knowing that your body is cleansed,
Your energy field is cleansed.
Going for healing yourself.
Release the attention to the breath.
Move your awareness to the third eye,
Right between the eyebrow center,
A couple inches behind the forehead.
Your awareness is here.
Softly look in this area.
Allow any straining of the eyes to relax and soften.
I want you to see in this area different objects that I made,
Beginning with a red rose,
A clear diamond,
A brown horse,
A calm ocean,
Blue sky,
Red cardinal,
A swing set,
Strawberry,
A temple,
Green grass,
And your attention on this area.
Noticing what might be.
Noticing if you see any colors or visualizations.
The more you relax,
The more you may see.
Let go of trying.
Let go of getting it right.
Just relax with your awareness on your third eye.
Release the awareness.
Feeling the body very heavy.
Heavy as a boulder.
The heels are heavy.
The shins weighted.
The thighs and the glutes being pulled down by gravity.
The lower back is heavy,
Weighted into the ground.
Your shoulders,
The back's heavy.
The rest of the hand,
Heavy.
Back of your head.
Entire body is heavy as a boulder.
Changing the sensation.
Lightness.
Light as a feather.
Heels are so light,
You can feel the space.
Heels,
This is a surface floaty.
The calves are very heavy,
Or excuse me,
Light.
The thighs floating.
Light as a feather.
Your shoulders,
Fingers,
Arms and hands are light.
Just like a leaf on top of a river.
Back of your head is light.
The entire body.
Feel the sensation of lightness.
And as you continue,
Imagine a river.
You're floating on the very top of this river.
Your arms are outstretched.
Your feet are wider than your hips.
You allow the current of the river.
Move the body.
You continue to flow down this river.
Without a care in the world.
No place to go.
Nowhere to be.
Just float.
And as you float,
You can see trees passing by over your head.
And the sun is shining down on your body.
Warming.
On either side of you,
There is riverbeds.
But you have so much room in the center of this river.
Feeling the current rocking your body.
Almost as if you are being rocked like a baby.
Mask in the glory of this smooth and calm river.
And after you continue,
You find that you're being called to take a rest.
Making your way over to one side of the riverbed.
And taking a seat on grass.
As you are seated here,
You're noticing a figure coming toward you.
Knowing that you are safe.
And as this figure comes closer,
You see long,
Beautiful,
Dark brown hair.
Pale skin.
In a white flowing dress.
This is the goddess Sarasvati.
She can assist you in using your voice.
Finding your creativity,
Motivation.
Or even just finding some compassion.
At this time,
If you're feeling called to do so,
You may ask her a question.
Not expecting an answer.
Just noticing if you might see or hear.
Continuing to relax,
Not expecting an answer.
Knowing that maybe your answer will come at a later time.
Trusting that you know the answer when it's given to you.
And as you know that your time is coming to an end with the goddess Sarasvati,
Send her a heart of gratitude.
Slowly begin to bring yourself back into the room where you're at.
Without opening your eyes.
Seeing the ceiling.
The walls and the floor.
Feeling the surface underneath you.
Your body.
Crops that might suit you.
Any blankets.
Feel your breath.
Hear the sounds in the room,
Even outside,
Or in other rooms of your home.
Maybe at this time,
Taking note of anything that might have popped up during this medication.
You can even imagine this if you are going to place that knowledge on your bed stand,
Even on your toothbrush.
So you don't need to hold on to it right now,
Knowing that when you go to that place,
You'll remember.
As we conclude,
We will connect to our heart center,
Stacking one hand on the center of your chest and any other hand on top of it.
Feel your breath underneath your hands.
Notice how your body is feeling.
Even noticing your mind.
As your hands begin to relax,
Rest on your heart center,
Your heart chakra.
Send love to yourself.
From my heart center to each of yours,
I am deeply grateful that you have joined me this evening.
Namaste.
