You may or may not have heard of this idea of consecrated places.
Nevertheless,
This concept of consecrated places is very important.
Have you noticed how you sometimes go to a certain area in nature where people will say this place has great energy,
Other people will say this place has great vibrations.
Those who are scientifically inclined might just say this place is very beautiful or this place is very peaceful.
There are temples that have this type of feeling,
There are rooms that have this type of feelings,
There are gardens that have this type of feeling.
These type of places we can generally call them consecrated places.
There's just something about them which is either peaceful or spiritual depending on how you think.
It is therefore very important for us to try to make these consecrated places within our own house.
If we're able to make the whole house consecrated,
That is the best,
But of course this is not always easy to do.
We can at least though make certain areas concentrated such as our bedrooms or the places where we meditate.
You will notice when you go into these consecrated areas you will automatically feel good and peaceful.
When these areas are exceptional,
Other people will also comment and notice on that.
So how do we make areas consecrated?
This of course is an art form in itself and does take some time and work and experience and feeling,
But nevertheless it is very easy to do.
If we were to look at a kitchen that has that type of feeling,
You'll always notice the same thing.
It tends to be made with lots of natural wooden materials,
There are lots of herbs hanging around the area,
Dried herbs,
Or there are even herbs growing in the kitchen itself,
There are hanging pots there,
And you notice that it's simple but not plain,
It's tidy and not messy,
There's enough stuff in there but not over the top,
And there's just life and good light.
We therefore also want to make areas of our house like this.
So in the end we start to notice certain concepts that are needed.
On a separate note,
It's a bad idea to put plants in your room because it appears as though plants,
Even though they take in carbon dioxide during the day,
They actually take in O2 at night.
There is some research on this.
Nevertheless,
We want to look for simplicity,
Good light,
Nice airflow,
The place should also be tidy,
Not too simple but not too busy.
In the end this is something that you have to play with in your own way and in your own time and find out what works for you and what makes an area of your house or even your entire house,
If you're willing to spend the time to do it,
Feel especially relaxing,
Peaceful,
And in many ways a place that you would want to spend many hours in or around.
