Work hard, consistently, and persistently and you will succeed - it’s the mantra of our times. Whether you’re in the business or science sector; in the arts or working in non-governmental organizations, if you consider yourself a professional, you probably feel you must abide to this mantra time and time again. If you love and thrive at work, but also ask yourself sometimes if all the hard work, the strong perseverance, and putting aside your pleasures are really worth your success, then this experiential course is exactly right for you. If you want to experience less stress in your work and life, but you don’t want to compromise your work performance, then you will love this course. Work one week with Femke and learn the selfgentleness tools that can support you to perform at work in an easier, gentler, and more inspired way. The first three days, you’ll learn to set a baseline of a relaxed, focused, and connected mind and body. This baseline is the prerequisite for any performance, and will support the use of the three visualization tools that you will learn in days 4 to 6. Day 7 consists of two parts: Part 1 brings it all together and invites you to create a habit of setting your baseline on a daily basis. Part 2 is simply the baseline meditation, which you can use every day to start your new habit. The course offers you the opportunity to intuitively explore a different and less stressful perspective and take home from it whatever works well for you. Every lesson consists of a brief explanation, followed by a guided meditation to let you experience for yourself what Femke is speaking about. Every lesson ends with a question to help you reflect on what you learned that lesson. We know you’re a busy person, so all lessons are between 10 and 15 minutes a day. Following the course will take less than 2 hours in total from your valuable time. This course is meant for anyone who have had enough of pushing their limits every day and who are ready to have less stress in their jobs without having to perform less. If anything comes up on the way, you can find Femke in the classroom, where she’ll be answering your questions and cheering you on.

The Power Of Relaxation
“Work hard and succeed”. All our lives we have been trained by our parents, school systems, and society to believe that working hard and even harder is the way to climb the societal ladder and to become ‘someone of value’. Everyone who has ever been cracking a deadline in the middle of the night, knows how tough it can be to push through. Of course, we generally get where we want to be, but at what expense? It takes an enormous toll on our focus and concentration when we try to push through our tiredness. In this lesson, Femke talks about the power of relaxation and its importance in calming down our stress responses. You'll learn the first step of setting your baseline: a breathing exercise which you can use anytime to cue your body into relaxation.

From Time Management To Time Relativity
Time is precious. It flies pretty fast. Dealing with time under pressure is one common challenge for most folks, let alone high performers. Do you ever notice yourself thinking, "I don’t have time to (something you really need to do to feel better), because of my deadline/ upcoming performance?" In this lesson Femke talks about the power of meditation to move from a time shortage perspective to a time relativity perspective. You'll learn the second step of setting your baseline - a meditation practice to bring your attention to the present moment; a tool that can also be used anytime to bring our awareness to the here and now.

Improvement Lies Within
When we strive to improve whatever we are doing in life, we sometimes forget why we want to improve. In this lesson, Femke explains how connecting with yourself and your intuition can naturally bring all the improvements you like to see, but without the effort you generally assume it takes. You'll learn step 3, the last step to set your baseline. You will learn a pretty effortless meditation technique, which can get you quickly into a deep and silent meditation. It moreover helps you connect with your inner core, that inner voice of who you really are. Because that is the place where it all starts.

Invite Your Inspiration
What is the difference between being motivated and being inspired? Although both concepts might look a lot alike, to be motivated, we often have to first motivate ourselves to start. Inspiration is something that happens to us, and when it does, we get into that wonderful flow of life. In today’s lesson, Femke shows how you can use your baseline to get ready to invite your inspiration in, and moreover, to feel how you can trust that inspiration is always available for you.

Remember To Be Playful
Remember how, as a kid, you would use your imagination to create a different or better world for you and your friends to play in? When we work hard and with perseverance, especially when we need to meet expectations soon, we sometimes forget how playfulness could serve our preparation. Visualization is a wonderful tool to prepare for anything that might come up in life, including our peak performances. Moreover, playfulness is always part of visualization. Today, Femke teaches you a visualization technique to playfully prepare your performance, which can be used as a followup to the baseline meditation, or as a standalone meditation.

Cheer Yourself On
To deliberately cultivate compassion, understanding and love for ourselves is something we often take for granted. That’s because we think we are kind enough to ourselves, but not kind enough to others. The truth is that it is very often reversed. We punish ourselves when we feel disappointed about our efforts, achievements, or even micro-targets we have in our lives. When are we truly cheering ourselves on? In this lesson, Femke explains how being kind and supportive to yourself stands at the core of every success in your life. She will then guide you in a meditation that will help you to be your own biggest fan.
Lektion 7
Day 7 - Part I: Bringing It All Together
Today, Femke will recap the lessons of this week and explain how you can use the tools of this course separately and combined. She also explains how you can use these tools to set your baseline and how you can use the visualization tools from that baseline. Femke then invites you to meditate for 30 days with the Baseline meditation, so will ake it a daily habit. This habit will serve you well in many aspects of life, but in particular as an excellent instrument to peak your performance. Peaking your performance will be done with more gentleness and relaxation. The guided baseline meditation was recorded separately, so you can use it as a standalone meditation for the coming 30 days (and beyond), in case you accept the challenge to create a daily meditation habit that will help you peak your performance. This meditation can be found in the next day (Day 7 - Part II).

Day 7 Part II: The Baseline Meditation
This is an audio with the baseline meditation only. The baseline meditation is the core practice you learned in my course to set your baseline, so you can start your day with calm and ease. Practice this meditation on a regular basis, preferably daily, to prepare yourself for any performance. After 30 days, you will notice a shift in your ability to get ready to perform.
