Namaste,
Dear ones.
How is everyone today?
Such a beautiful day.
The energy today is just so amazing.
I'm so excited to just have normalcy back or something.
I don't know.
I feel like things are kind of almost normal today,
Which they haven't been for a number of months now,
Right?
So here's a question to you.
Why do you meditate?
Do you meditate because we do this every morning and it's just a lovely little way of starting your day?
Do you meditate because people tell you that it's good for you?
That's a good question,
Right?
So why do we meditate?
And here's the thing.
We can meditate for a number of reasons,
Right?
I mean,
If you're happy or sad or oh my gosh,
Stressed,
If you are stressed in any way,
Obviously,
Meditation is amazing,
Right?
If you're irritated,
If you're happy,
If you're joyful,
If you feel like in love or if you feel like content,
All the more reason to meditate,
You know?
I mean,
We've been told over the however long of our lives,
You know,
Meditation or prayer is so good for you.
But the thing is,
It really is good for you.
But why do we do it?
Why do we create this practice,
Creating a practice of meditation where you sit in the quiet every day?
It is what can change your life.
It's not the actual,
No,
It is the act of meditating itself,
But the practice of meditation on a daily basis is what can really change your life,
Right?
I am not somebody that,
I'm not an athlete,
I don't work out,
Right?
And I've told the story before,
But I went and had a little procedure done and you know how like they're getting ready and stuff and they take your blood pressure.
And this lady goes,
And she tests my heart rate and my blood pressure and stuff.
She goes,
Are you an athlete?
Like,
Are you a runner?
And I just started hysterically laughing because no,
Not,
Not at all,
Right?
And she said,
Your heart rate is that of somebody that runs every day or,
You know,
Or is an athlete.
And I'm like,
Well,
I said,
Do you know why?
I said,
That's because I meditate every single day.
Getting our minds into a place of quiet and,
And sort of putting all those thoughts off to the side just for a few short minutes brings us perspective and brings us quiet into our,
Into our minds and into our lives.
So that's why we meditate.
Whatever emotion,
Emotion,
Boy,
Whatever emotion that you are feeling today,
Tomorrow,
It's the perfect reason to meditate.
And like I said,
It only takes a few minutes a day to create this beautiful practice that helps your mind,
Helps your body,
Helps your spirit,
Helps it all.
So today we are going to meditate using the ancient term,
And I'm sure you've all heard of this,
OM,
Right?
Everybody has heard of OM and you know,
You've heard it used in sort of mocking terms,
I know,
Because I know that people,
Oh yeah,
OM,
You know,
But the reality is this incredibly beautiful,
Lovely sound is one of the oldest sounds in history.
It's true.
This sound is,
David G,
My meditation teacher calls it the Hymn of the Universe,
Because how amazing is it?
What it is,
Is OM is,
And it's not just OM like O-M,
That's one version of it,
But A-U-M,
OM is every sound.
This is what we've been taught.
Every sound that was,
Is,
Or will be,
It's every sound.
Isn't that just absolutely lovely?
So when you say,
OM,
That's every sound that is just,
It's like a,
It's like a talking to the Universe.
It is,
Right?
It's talking to the Universe.
So that's what we are going to do today.
And in the chakra system,
The energies,
Systems of your body,
This symbol,
The sound OM relates to,
Is the sound you use for your crown chakra,
Which is right here,
And your,
Your brow chakra,
Which is your third eye.
So your crown chakra just above your head and your brow chakra,
Which is your third eye.
So that's the relation in the energy systems,
Right?
So that's what we are going to do today.
We are working with our higher powers,
Our higher selves today.
And we are going to use the term OM in our,
As our mantra today.
So let's get ourselves comfortable and let's close our eyes.
Whenever you are comfortable,
Take a nice,
Deep breath,
Really slow,
Deep breath in and release.
That is the perfect way to begin a meditation.
Because it just releases all the stress that you've built up in your body,
In your mind,
In your soul.
So let's do that again.
Take a nice,
Deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
Gorgeous.
Absolutely gorgeous.
So I'm keeping with the beauty of the day.
Let's start our day out properly.
What are three things that you are grateful for?
What are you grateful for today?
What was so fantastic about the last 24 hours of your life?
It could be that you got to spend some time with your family.
It could be that you got to spend some time by yourself.
What are you grateful for in this life?
Grateful for my body and the ability to walk and talk.
I'm grateful for the ability to communicate and be with you all.
So our mantra today is Aum.
Aum.
This beautiful,
Ancient sound.
As we begin,
If you find yourself thinking thoughts instead of the mantra,
Just gently in your mind's eye,
Push them aside and let yourself get back to the mantra Aum.
And let's begin.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Cool down into some of the palm Later,
Another Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
And start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
And let's take a nice deep breath in.
And release.
Absolutely beautiful.
When you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
What a beautiful,
Beautiful meditation today.
The energy around here just feels so light and up.
So,
I wish for you all the rest of your day this joy,
This feeling of happy.
Thank you all for joining me.
I love you all so much.
And until next time,
Namaste everybody.
