Welcome.
I will be guiding you for the next five minutes through a soothing meditation.
This may help with calming your everyday tensions,
Stress and anxiety.
What I'm going to have you do is lay comfortably down in your bed with the lights off.
Take your arms and legs slightly away from your body to not distract yourself.
Get comfortable.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Once you've done this,
Breathe in deeply for five seconds,
Being mindful of the air going through your nostrils,
Then hold,
Counting four seconds,
Letting the air soak into your body.
After holding,
Breathe out very slowly for about eight seconds and relish in the feeling of your stress diminishing.
Repeat this process five other times and enjoy the soothing sounds and feelings this private moment of bliss brings you.
Continue to breathe deeply,
But do so now without holding.
Feel free to bring yourself into your own imagined environment where nothing else matters but your peace of mind and safety.
This is your moment to get rid of the demands of life and reward yourself.
Smile and remind yourself that you're capable of being relaxed,
That you can be at peace.
