Solar Codes

This beautiful meditation was taught to me at dawn on Machu Picchu by my Quechuan mentor. It is best practiced in the morning, facing the rising sun, and acknowledges that our physical sun is a portal to the Universal Source, or, as the Incas recognized, ‘The Galactic Sun’. The meditation involves intentionally opening the auric field to the life-giving energies and information held within sunlight as medicine for the spirit. Breathing in the solar codes, Stand facing the early Sun in the East. If you are practicing this meditation inside, Turn your body towards the East and imagine the early Sun rising on the eastern horizon. Keep your knees soft, Your pelvis slightly tilted forward to bring length in the base of your spine. Stand tall, Elegant, Sovereign. Shoulders down and back and raise your face to the early sunlight. Take a moment to settle your breath, Feeling or imagining that gentle kiss of warmth as the day dawns. Bringing your awareness now to the feminine left hand, The receptive dynamic of your system. And then the masculine right hand, The emanating dynamic of your system. On your next inhalation, Raise the hands towards the sky. Use your in-breath to draw these two creative forces into your heart. Every time you breathe in, Feel these two creative forces flooding into your heart space and then spiraling the energy down the spine with your breath. Create a visualization, An etheric track for the energies to follow. Breathing in, The feminine and masculine stream into the heart. Breathing out, The energy spirals down the spine. Once you feel this connection, Once you take your place as a product of these two creative forces merging, Open your heart now to the presence of the galactic Sun, The source of all life and all light. See the physical Sun before you on the eastern horizon as a portal to this source and ask for love and merging when you can perceive the warmth and the golden love of the galactic Sun expressing through the sunbeams of this morning. Take a large inhalation in through the mouth and hold for one, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six and seven and now blow the light back to the galactic Sun. And again, A large inhalation into the mouth and hold for one, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven and blow the light back to the galactic Sun. Knowing that you're a child of the Sun and you participate in the flow of light. And in your own way now, I want you to repeat this as long as feels right for you to fully surrender into light and feel filled with the aspects of light itself. Making this next exhalation the last of the light exchange with the galactic Sun and allowing your natural calm breath to re-establish. Notice the beautiful tidal rhythm of your natural breath moving in and out of your body. Feel warmth and softness and nurturing energy now flooding your thoughts, Your feelings, Your actions and every choice you will make throughout your day. You can gently start to move your body now, Swinging from side to side. Allow the arms to move with the swings. Feel the energy rising in your system. Take lovely big greedy breaths, Oxygenating your body and getting it ready for your day. And know that you are living, Breathing sunlight.
