Hello.
Today we will begin our meditation on the third chakra,
The Manipura chakra,
Also known as our solar plexus.
Go ahead and find a comfortable seat.
You can be in a chair with your feet flat on the floor or sitting on the floor on a cushion to lift your hips.
Our solar plexus represents our individual power.
It is related to confidence and self-esteem.
Located just under the breastbone,
Above the navel,
The Manipura is responsible for optimum digestive functioning,
Keeping the digestive fire stimulated.
Now go ahead and get comfortable.
Let your hands relax on your lap or at your side,
Whatever feels good for you.
Now close your eyes.
This is your time now,
So leave all your worries at the door.
Allow yourself to relax into the flow of the moment.
There is only right here,
Right now.
The future and the past no longer exist.
Notice any sounds outside of the room.
Acknowledge them and then let them go.
Notice any sounds inside of the room.
Acknowledge them and then let them go.
Give your body permission to relax.
Let your feet and legs soften into position.
Soften your shoulders down and relax your hands.
Allow your full body to soften down and relax into a natural sitting position.
Now tell your head and face to relax.
Your scalp and hair,
Your ears,
Your jaw and chin,
Your cheeks,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
All soft and relaxed.
Take a deep breath in and breathe out the tension in your body.
Allow your breathing to fall into its own natural rhythm,
Not trying to control it in any way.
Just observing as you breathe in relaxation and breathe out tension.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Simply observing the natural rhythm of your breathing.
If thoughts intrude,
That's okay.
Allow them to flow on past and then return your attention to your breathing.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now bring your attention to your solar plexus area located just under the breastbone,
Above the navel.
Imagine a warm little yellow light there,
Swirling around like a little whirlpool.
Notice how this yellow light feels,
How it looks.
Try to get a sense of how it is functioning.
Can you feel any tingling?
Is it swirling and moving?
What speed is it?
Does it feel fast or slow?
Is it a little small yellow light or a big enlarged light?
Can you see the color in your mind's eye?
Visualize the little yellow light around your stomach area.
Watch as the yellow glow starts to gently spread out and get bigger as it spins.
Now bring your attention to your breathing.
Breathing in relaxation,
Breathing out tension.
Breathing in relaxation,
Breathing out tension.
As you breathe in,
Visualize yourself breathing in golden yellow light down into your stomach area.
With every in-breath,
You pull in more fresh yellow light,
Allowing it to fill your solar plexus chakra and your whole stomach area.
Allowing it to spread further outwards,
Connecting with all the other chakras,
Filling your entire body up into your chest,
Your head,
Down into your arms and hands,
Down into your pelvis,
Your legs,
Your toes.
Breathing in yellow light energy,
Breathing out tension.
As you breathe in this yellow light,
It brings you loving assertiveness,
Control,
Balance and self-awareness.
Feel the lovely golden glow as it gently spins and envelops you.
Breathing in yellow light,
Breathing out tension.
Tell yourself you are comfortable within your own power.
Breathing in yellow light,
Breathing out tension.
Now bring your attention back to your stomach area,
To the yellow light of the solar plexus chakra.
Visualize the swirling yellow light getting smaller,
Bringing it down to around the size of a fairy light.
Bringing it back down to normal function.
Repeat to yourself,
My solar plexus chakra is working at normal function.
Bring your awareness back to the flow of your breathing,
In and out.
Notice the cool breath as it comes in through your nose,
Down the back of your throat and into your lungs.
Notice the natural movement of your tummy as you breathe in and out.
Be aware of your full body again as it rests against the floor.
Bring your attention to your toes,
Give them a little wiggle.
Then to your fingers,
Give them a little wiggle.
Give your shoulders a little shrug.
Let yourself be aware of the room again,
All of the sounds close by.
And when you feel ready to,
You can open your eyes.
