To your protection and boundary-setting visualization meditation.
Find a comfortable seat,
Either on the floor or in a chair,
And bring yourself into a position where you can feel the contact of the earth below you with at least one part of your body.
Start to gently draw your awareness towards any sensations that you're experiencing.
The texture of the surface that you are sitting or lying on.
If your eyes are still open,
Anything that you see in your space.
From here,
You can bring your eyes to a close.
If you'd prefer to keep them open,
You can bring them to a soft gaze down.
Starting to slowly pull away from the senses and turn your attention into the flow,
The rhythm of your breath.
Invite your breath to deepen through your belly,
Through your low back.
Expand the ribs.
And on each exhale,
Allowing your belly to draw towards your spine,
Ribs hugging together.
You can start to rub your palms together,
Creating heat and energy,
Chi or prana.
And then bringing one or both hands to your heart,
Maybe one to the belly.
Tuning into your aliveness,
Your heart beating,
Your breath flowing,
And the warmth of the energy of your own hands on your body.
Starting from wherever your body is in contact with the earth,
You can begin to visualize the roots of a beautiful rose bush.
Deepening and growing from that place that your body is connected.
Seeing the color and texture.
Noticing if there are many roots or few.
And through this whole practice,
Just being curious with yourself and what comes up.
There's no right or wrong way to visualize this boundary setting.
From this sturdy place of your foundation,
Your roots,
You can begin to visualize the stems and leaves of this bush beginning to grow from those roots.
Lovingly,
Tenderly wrapping around your calf,
Your thighs and hips.
And watching the branches grow taller and wider,
Creating a beautiful cocoon.
Strong.
This plant is very healthy as it wraps around your physical and energetic and subtle bodies.
And leaving enough space for sweetness,
For permeability when you choose.
This rose bush has its thorns and has its ability to distinguish between your energy and the energy around you.
These roses support you in the autonomy of choice of what you do and do not let in.
And as this rose bush continues to grow and wrap around you,
Creating a sealed cocoon over the crown of your head,
Then you can begin to visualize the flowers budding.
Notice the color inside.
Just as you did with the roots,
Notice if there are few flowers or many.
Flowers of this rose bush are your sweetness.
They are what is continuing to call in what is meant for you.
It is possible to set boundaries and be magnetic.
To be clear in what you are inviting in and what is not welcome.
This boundary and this protection around you is made of love.
Made of your highest intentions and your highest good.
You can stay here in this visualization for as long as you'd like,
Continuing to breathe with the growth and formation of this protective boundary.
You can say out loud or in your mind any other intentions,
Prayers,
Gratitude that you have for this moment.
And when you are ready,
You can rub your hands together again over the heart space.
Feeling that heat build.
And when you're ready,
Bring your hands over the eyes,
Creating this beautiful dark cocoon of warmth so that you can slowly blink your eyes open and enter back into your space at your own pace.
Practice this boundary setting and protective meditation as much as you need.
Every day.
Once a week.
Once a month.
