Welcome to this meditation that will help you connect to your future self.
We will start with a body scan to fully relax you.
Then we will take a journey into the future.
You may wish to use an eye mask or eye cover to enhance the experience.
Find a comfortable position and settle into your space.
Make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
Gently close your eyes.
Feel the weight of your body on the surface beneath you.
Let the surface support you fully as you let your body melt into it.
Take a deep breath in and as you release it,
Let go of any tension,
Worries or distractions.
Take another deep breath in and out.
With each breath,
You become more relaxed,
More centered.
Take the deepest,
Longest breath you've taken all day,
Allowing your body to fully relax as you exhale.
The muscles and nerves in and around your eyes are becoming heavy,
Droopy,
Drowsy.
Your eyelids are starting to feel as if they've been glued shut,
Sealed shut,
Locked tight.
And you'll soon find that the harder you try to open your eyes,
The more they feel glued shut,
Sealed shut,
Locked tight.
Gently soften the space between your eyebrows.
Allow your whole forehead to relax and become smooth and free of any stress.
The muscles in your jaw are starting to let go.
Your jaw feels loose and heavy.
It's hanging lower and lower,
Relaxed all the way completely.
Your whole face is relaxed,
Letting go of all tension.
The muscles in your face are loose and heavy and droopy.
It's like your face is gently melting.
Bring your awareness to your neck,
The front,
Sides of the neck,
And the back of the neck.
Allow your neck to fully relax.
Feel that wave of relaxation roll down your shoulders.
Releasing tension and making your shoulders hang lower,
Away from your ears.
Now that wave of relaxation is moving down your upper arms Enveloping your elbows,
Wrists,
Fingers,
And thumbs.
Both of your arms are completely relaxed and heavy.
You are starting to feel a gentle sense of warmth inside your heart as the wave of relaxation rolls below your shoulders,
Into your chest and upper back.
Your chest feels calm and spacious.
The warm feeling begins to spread into your stomach and lower back,
Touching every muscle,
Every organ,
And every cell.
Your stomach feels warm and relaxed.
Now bring your awareness to your pelvis and hips as the wave of relaxation continues down your body,
Bringing gentle warmth with it.
It's moving down your upper legs,
The front of the thighs,
And the back of the thighs.
Your upper legs feel heavy and loose.
Feel your knees and the space behind the knees.
Now the wave of relaxation is slowly enveloping your calves and shins,
Your ankles,
Heels,
Soles of your feet,
And your toes.
Your whole body is heavy,
Warm,
And relaxed.
Every muscle is loosened up.
You are safe and comfortable.
In your mind's eye,
Visualize a soft,
Glowing light in front of you.
This light feels warm and inviting,
Like a doorway into another world.
As you move closer to the light,
You notice a portal forming,
Swirling with beautiful colors.
This portal leads to a place where time bends,
Where you can connect with your future self.
When you are ready,
Step through the portal,
Feeling the soft energy surrounding you as you move into a new space.
On the other side,
You find yourself in a long hallway.
Ahead of you,
You see an elevator waiting for you with its doors open,
Ready to take you to meet your future self.
Step into the elevator and press the button for the 10th floor,
Which is the top floor of this building.
As the doors close and the elevator begins to rise,
You can feel your anticipation growing.
Each floor you pass represents a step forward in time.
Second floor.
Third floor.
You feel yourself slowly moving closer to the future.
Fourth floor.
Fifth.
Sixth.
You start to feel curious and excited.
Seventh floor.
Eighth.
Ninth.
And finally,
The elevator comes to a gentle stop at the tenth floor.
The doors slide open and you step out into a serene glowing space.
Ahead of you,
Sitting peacefully,
Is your future self.
They look at you with kindness,
As if they've been waiting for you.
It's the version of you who has fully realized your potential,
Living in alignment with your values and goals.
Notice what your future self looks like.
Notice their face,
Their hair,
Their clothes.
What is their expression?
How are they feeling at this moment?
What characteristics define this version of you?
Now your future self is showing you the life they are living.
It's the life you desire.
See yourself achieving your goals,
Whether they are related to your career,
Relationships,
Health,
Or personal growth.
Feel the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that comes with living your best life.
Spend a few moments fully immersed in this vision,
Experiencing it as if it's happening right now.
Feel the emotions,
See the details,
And allow yourself to connect deeply with this future version of you.
Now your future self is inviting you to sit beside them.
You can ask any questions you have about your life,
Your path,
Or any guidance you seek.
Silently or aloud,
Ask your future self whatever you feel called to know and listen closely as your future self responds.
Whatever they share,
Trust that it is meant to guide you.
Take a few moments to absorb this wisdom.
When you are ready,
Thank your future self for their guidance.
Now begin to integrate the vision of your future self into your present reality.
Imagine the qualities of your future self flowing into you,
Merging with your current self.
Feel the confidence,
Strength,
And wisdom of your future self becoming a part of you now.
With each breath,
Allow these qualities to anchor in your body and mind.
As you breathe,
Affirm to yourself,
Silently or out loud,
I am becoming the best version of myself.
I am worthy of living the life I desire.
Know that the journey to becoming your future best self begins with the choices you make today.
You have the power to create the life you dream about,
One step at a time.
Now it's time to go.
Stand up and begin to walk back towards the elevator.
As you step inside and press the button for the ground floor,
Feel the reassurance that your future self is always with you.
As the elevator descends,
You feel more at peace,
More grounded in the present,
Carrying the wisdom you've received with you.
Now the elevator has reached the ground floor.
Step out into the hallway and walk back through the glowing portal.
As you step through,
You are back in the present moment,
Feeling lighter and more connected to your inner wisdom.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Take another deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Wiggle your fingers and toes and stretch your body.
Take one final deep breath in and out,
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes,
Returning to the here and now.
