Today Cosmic simply reminds us to breathe and notice the signs that we should be more present. Being aware of people's energy, accidents and the effects of the full moon reminds us to deepen & tighten our mindfulness practice.

Namaste my brothers and sisters.

I am your brother Simply Cosmic back with another podcast talk for Insight Timer.

I've been,

I recently got a new recorder.

Today is a windy day in Houston,

Texas at the meditation center.

Today I want to bring a little reminder,

A message to you.

To remember your breath.

To remember the moment.

Yesterday was the passing of the super pink full moon which made me feel a lot of head energy.

I felt a lot of pressure on the top of my head.

And that as I was doing my work consulting brothers and sisters through the online stream,

There were some brothers and sisters,

One in particular,

Came to judge because they didn't get what they want.

Because they forget that desire,

An attachment to desire is what causes suffering but they simply didn't know.

When we forget that we have everything we need in this moment and we're learning to become better,

We start to be unhappy when we forget that breathing our life in this moment is so holy and sacred.

Because we're busy trying to become successful,

Trying to get more,

Trying to figure our life out.

But we forget to say thank you.

We forget to close five doors and open one.

The five doors are two eyes,

Two ears,

Our mouth and just focus on the air coming in through our nose.

Slowly out our nose.

And I want to remind you to be more present because on Saturday in the meditation group that I get together with,

At the end of our meditation,

Right before we finish our closing,

A man bite right into a tree branch heading the top of his nose.

Bleeding.

Even though he was wearing a helmet,

He was not with his breath,

He was in his mind.

Got off track.

Luckily,

No ambulance had to be called.

All these signs of life reminding us to be in the now,

Reminding us to listen to the sounds of the ruffling leaves,

Reminding us to see the birds,

Hear the birds chirping.

Even though season is changing,

It may be a lot warmer where you're at.

It is in Houston.

It's a good season,

Everybody's out,

But they forget to be in with themselves first.

When we look forward to going somewhere and we don't realize that going within is where we need to start,

If we need to arrive at happiness,

We forget the happiness on the journey.

And the Buddha's quote,

Happiness is not a destination,

It's the journey.

The journey in a moment where we breathe in and out.

Where we see the ant walking by.

Where we're mindful of our breath.

Where we could be complaining about something,

But we're choosing to accept that,

Hey,

We can always complain,

But what is the solution?

What is joy?

Where is our happiness?

What if happiness has been right under our nose?

What if happiness was hearing the sounds of the turbines of the plane passing by?

What if it's that simple and we've been making it hard?

So remember to be with your breath.

Live in the now so that we can love our damn selves easily,

Simply,

Knowing that some days will be more tough,

But on tough days we remember.

Breathing in,

I'm breathing in.

Breathing out,

I hear the world.

And I hope you have a wonderful,

Wonderful day.

Thank you so much.
