1st Heidi Cherry & Vaya Story | Cat Cafe
This is the first ever Heidi Cherry & Vaya story. This story is about when Heidi & Cherry get Vaya as her new sister! It was made back in 2020 so the quality may be a little rusty as l used older equipment back then. I am releasing this story again due to demand. I hope you enjoy it!
Transcript
Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Lay down,
Get comfortable.
It's time to relax.
You'll never guess what's happening with Heidi and Cherry today.
Oh my goodness.
Make sure that you're laying really comfortable so that you can listen to the story.
Of course it's Heidi and Cherry,
So it might get a little bit crazy.
But then we'll relax at the end and make sure that we get all snuggly and cuddly and sleepy.
All that Heidi and Cherry knew was that their owners were bringing in the cat carrier cages.
Heidi didn't really move.
She just moved her eyes and watched as the owners walked around the apartment there in China arranging things,
Getting things ready.
She noticed the cat carriers.
They put them on the table for a while.
She just watched,
Moved her eyebrows occasionally and kind of just chilled out.
No big deal.
But Cherry,
On the other hand,
Noticed the cat carriers and got extremely excited.
Oh my gosh!
Oh my gosh!
Do you think we're moving again?
Do you think we're doing?
What do you think we're doing?
She said to Heidi.
Where do you think we're going?
We must be going somewhere.
Otherwise,
Why would they get the cat carriers out?
Oh my gosh!
Do you think we're moving again already?
We only just got to China.
Why would we be moving?
I don't want to move.
I really like the toilets.
I don't want to move.
The toilets weren't like this in the USA.
I want to stay in China.
What do you think we're doing?
Where do you think we're going?
She went on and on and on and she kept pawing at Heidi the whole time.
And Heidi just kind of kept rolling her eyes and occasionally she would just look at the cat carriers.
And occasionally she would say,
Just chill out,
Cherry.
I'm sure we're going somewhere.
But who knows?
There's no point in getting so excited about it.
Just chill yourself down.
Cherry couldn't.
Then she got ultra,
Ultra excited when the cat owners put both of them into the cat carrying boxes and started to take them down in the elevator and put them in the car.
Oh my gosh!
We are actually doing something very,
Very exciting.
It's so exciting,
Said Cherry.
She couldn't believe that they were actually going out.
And while they were out,
She got a really good view out of the window and she could see all the tall skyscraper buildings.
There were so many tall,
Tall,
Tall buildings in China.
And they were all so close together.
And the streets were super busy.
And there were so many people.
Heidi couldn't really see anything.
Her cat carrier had been put in the car in a way that all she could really see was the back of Cherry's cat carrier,
Which was okay for Heidi.
She just decided to sleep.
But Cherry was bouncing all over in that thing.
She was pacing back and forward.
And all she kept doing was telling Heidi everything that she could see in like full description.
Oh my gosh!
I just saw like the 20th tallest building in the world.
It was so tall.
I couldn't even reach my neck up around the window.
It was so tall.
It was so tall.
I can't believe how tall the buildings are.
She would go on and on and on.
It was super exciting wherever they were going.
And actually,
It didn't take them very long to get there before the car stopped.
They parked the car.
They opened the boot of the car and took out the cat carriers.
Heidi and Cherry were both being carried,
Walking through the streets in the cat carriers.
They had absolutely no idea what was going on until Heidi read a sign that said,
The cat cafe.
She said to Cherry,
Cherry,
I think we're going to the cat cafe.
Cherry said,
What's the cat cafe?
Is it cool?
Have you been before?
Have you heard of it?
What is it?
How do you know we're going?
Heidi said,
I just read the sign above the door.
It said the cat cafe.
Oh my gosh.
What do you think happens in the cat cafe?
Said Cherry.
One of the owners opened the door and they walked inside and the bell went as if there was a bell over the door.
Ding,
Said.
And when they went inside,
They couldn't believe their eyes.
Cats.
Cats absolutely everywhere.
There were cats on cat climbers.
There were cats on the sides.
There were cats on the chairs.
There were cats on the floors.
There were cats actually walking across the top of the curtains.
There were cats absolutely everywhere.
And the place smelt like coffee.
It smelt like coffee and cinnamon as if someone was baking cinnamon cookies.
It smelt divine.
Heidi took in a big sniff.
Cherry had the biggest wide open eyes that she'd ever had.
She was that much beside herself that she almost went potty in the cat carrier.
She was so excited.
So many cats,
So many potential friends.
She was just beside herself.
She was meowing at the top of her little tiny lungs.
Meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow.
She went on and on and on.
But to Heidi,
Heidi could hear her say,
Oh my goodness,
We've got so many cats around us.
We've got so many cats to meet and play with.
Oh my goodness.
This is like cat heaven,
Said Cherry.
Heidi was just taking a nice deep breath.
She loved the smell of coffee and cinnamon.
And there were people in the cafe and they were sat drinking coffee.
It was like a regular cafe where you could buy coffee and tea and pastries and cookies and cakes and things like that.
But at the same time,
The place was actually full of cats.
Heidi said to Cherry,
I have got no idea what this place is.
I don't quite understand it.
It's a cafe,
But yet it's full of cats.
Why are there so many cats in here?
One of the cats shouted,
Hi guys,
My name's Nelly.
I've been here ages.
What are you guys doing here?
Have you come to live here too?
Cherry said,
Hi Nelly.
What?
You actually live here?
You live in this cafe?
How come you live in a cafe?
That's really weird.
We live in an apartment and we have an amazing toilet.
How come you live in a cafe?
That's just nuts.
Actually,
It's really cool.
Can you order coffee and have pastries all day long?
Or do you still eat like normal stuff like kibble?
What do you eat in this place?
How come you live here?
Tell us,
Tell us all about it.
Nelly was a really cute cat.
He had dark brown fur.
He'd been in the cafe for two months.
Apparently,
He told Heidi and Cherry all about how the place worked.
It was an adoption place.
What that means is people go there and hang out and drink coffee and eat pastries and things like that.
And while they're there,
They get to play with the cats.
They meet the cats and they get to know if they like the cats and if the cats like them.
And if all goes well,
The cats get adopted.
They get to find a home.
It's a really cool place,
Said Nelly.
He'd not found a home yet but he was super hopeful.
And he wasn't worried because all of the cats there were like a big massive family and everybody got along really well.
So even if they didn't find a home,
They still liked living in the cafe because it was a lot of fun because really it was like a big hangout for all the cats.
Heidi was super suspicious.
She didn't understand why their owners had brought them to the cat cafe.
The more that they were there and they were hanging out,
The more superstitious Heidi got.
Actually,
She got quite worried.
What if our owners don't want us anymore?
What if we're here because they want to adopt us out?
She thought to herself.
She got really,
Really sad.
What if we get adopted,
Both me and Cherry,
And we get adopted by different owners and I'm not with Cherry anymore?
And she was thinking and the more she thought about stuff,
The sadder she got.
Then she went really,
Really quiet.
Cherry didn't even notice.
She was just super excited.
Oh Nelly,
Nelly,
Do you want to be our friend?
Maybe,
Maybe we're all here because we're going to be friends.
Maybe we're all here because we're going to hang out together.
Maybe our owners are going to bring us here just so we can hang out at the cat cafe and have a lot of fun.
Maybe that's why we're here.
Heidi looked over at Cherry and didn't say anything.
Then Cherry realized that Heidi had got very,
Very quiet and she looked very sad.
And Cherry said,
Heidi,
Come on,
Let's have some fun.
By now the owners had let Heidi and Cherry out of their cat carriers.
They'd let them out so they could roam around and interact with the cats.
But Heidi wasn't going anywhere.
She was just sat in her cat carrier with the door open.
Cherry was trying to get her out.
Come on,
Come on,
Let's go.
I just met two cats called Charlie and Izzy and they're super fun.
Come on,
Let's go.
We can climb on top of the curtains.
We can go meet people.
We might even be able to drink coffee.
Come on,
Come on,
Heidi,
Let's get out of here.
Let's go play with everyone.
Let's have fun.
Heidi wouldn't budge.
Cherry said,
What's wrong with you?
Let's play.
No,
Seriously,
What's wrong?
And that's when Heidi told Cherry all of the worries that she'd been thinking for the past couple of minutes.
Oh,
Said Cherry.
You think they don't love us anymore?
Do you think we're going to be living here instead of in the apartment with the toilets?
This is awful.
I don't want to be here anymore.
I don't want to live here.
I want to come here and play,
But I don't want to live here.
This is awful.
And she went and laid next to Heidi and they curled up together,
Very sad,
Until a cat came over to them called Jack,
Sat down in front of them and said,
Hi,
I'm Jack.
I am here to introduce you to the Cat Cafe.
Everyone here are friends.
They're all super happy.
Everyone here is open to chat with you,
Play with you,
Hang out with you.
Here at the Cat Cafe,
We're all super cool friends.
I come from Canada.
Originally,
That's where I lived.
Then,
Long story later,
I ended up going to England.
Then I ended up living in Japan for a while.
Now I'm in China.
Now I'm here,
Living in the Cat Cafe.
It's a super cool place,
Guys.
You're very lucky to be here.
Heidi and Cherry's owners seem to notice that they've gone very quiet and looked quite unhappy about being in the place.
Heidi's dad bent down and said,
Don't worry,
Guys.
We're not going to leave you here.
He was tickling and stroking behind both of their ears.
We're here because we're going to get a new cat.
We're here because we're picking up your new little sister,
Vea.
Cherry's eyes got really,
Really,
Really big.
I mean,
The biggest they've ever been.
She looked at Heidi,
Oh my gosh,
Did you hear that?
We're going to get a little sister.
Oh my gosh,
I'm so excited.
I'm so excited.
And with that,
A lady walked over,
Holding the tiniest,
Cutest little white kitten.
She was perfectly white with a tiny little pink nose.
She was absolutely adorable.
So tiny,
Thought Heidi.
She was excited,
Too.
She was super relieved,
But very excited.
This is kind of cool,
She thought.
We get a sister.
I've always kind of wanted a sister,
Another sister.
Oh my gosh,
Two sisters.
This is going to be really interesting.
Cherry was that excited that she literally did pee herself,
Which was okay because a lot of that went on in the cat cafe.
It was totally okay.
Everybody was super cool about it.
Heidi was super happy.
Cherry was super,
Super,
Over the moon happy.
Cherry said,
I want you to drive with me.
Make sure you put her with me.
I want her in my cat carrier.
Put her in my cat carrier.
Put her in my cat carrier.
She kept saying over and over and over again.
And somehow Heidi and Cherry's owners figured it out and they put Vea with Cherry and they traveled together all the way home.
She slept all the way home,
But Cherry didn't mind.
And then when they got home,
She slept some more.
And for the next couple of days,
Vea just seemed to eat and sleep and eat and sleep and grow and eat and sleep and grow.
Heidi was totally okay with this.
She liked how calm she was actually.
Cherry,
On the other hand,
Was a little bit worried that she might not be a lot of fun,
But she figured when she got older and she could do more and play more that she would be super,
Super fun.
So in the meantime,
She decided that she would just be there as a snuggle buddy for Vea.
And whenever Vea wanted to cuddle,
Heidi and Cherry were right there.
And she wanted to cuddle a lot.
She was a very cuddly,
Cute kitten.
Her favorite thing to do was to lay with them both and kind of snuggle between both of their legs at the same time,
Which meant all three of them were snuggled up together most of the time.
Vea's little tiny paws would get really,
Really sleepy and heavy.
And Cherry and Heidi would lay still and quiet,
Not to disturb her.
Her tiny little legs would get heavy and sleepy.
And you could see her heartbeat quite fast.
And Heidi would just lay and watch her heartbeat.
And Cherry would lick her and clean her.
Luckily,
Vea liked this a lot.
And she would sleep and sleep and cuddle and sleep.
Laying so still not to wake her would make both Heidi and Cherry sleepy too.
Everyone would get sleepy and still and quiet in their beds.
Their bodies would start to get heavy and tired.
They'd all close their eyes.
They'd start to dream.
Think about all the wonderful things they would do together.
All the different adventures that they were going to do together.
Places they would go.
Different cats and different people they would meet.
Just within a few days,
It was like they all fit together like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle.
They cuddled just right.
They fell asleep just right.
Vea looked very happy to have Heidi and Cherry as big sisters.
And she fit in.
She fell right at home in their apartment there in China.
She was the happiest little kitten in the whole wide world.
