What A Time To Be Alive

This heartfelt poem was spontaneously inspired as I looked out onto the Merrimack River in October of 2024. It is a reflection of the immense wonder I experienced in that moment.

My hope is that you connect with the images and feel the wonder that is waiting for you!

What a time to be alive.

What a time to be alive.

When there is snow on an October day.

When our hearts bloom in the wintertime.

And spring melts everything away.

What a time to be alive.

When watermelon,

Sweet watermelon,

Caresses our lips in the summer.

What a time to be alive.

When the river runs and the trees are full of life.

What a time to be alive.

When connections can be made.

What a time to be alive.

The beautiful clouds in the sky.

The blue and the light.

What a time to be alive.

For our minds and our souls and our hearts can join together in harmony.

When we stop.

When we look.

When we see.

When we really see.

What a time to be alive.

To see past the things that we think we know.

To expand our horizons.

When we allow ourselves to grow.

When we forgive.

No matter the cost.

When we put aside our selfish ways.

So that all is not lost.

What a time to be alive.

To love.

To share.

To give.

To be aware.

What a time to be alive.
