Hello.
Thank you so much for being here with me.
I am Colleen Fletcher,
And it's an honor to share this time and space with you.
As I said I'm so glad that you're here.
But before we begin,
I would really like to get this inner connection.
This you and me and the trees and nature.
So take a moment,
Just a quick moment to have a look at me.
And then if you have a mirror,
If not,
Just think of yourself.
But if you happen to have a mirror,
Then look at yourself.
Maybe you have the opportunity to look outside and see some trees.
I want you to notice those and I want you to notice you.
And the trees,
And that interconnectedness that we all have.
We're just going to take this time to be together.
And now that we've got that beginning connection going,
I'd like you to close your eyes to whatever feels comfortable.
And we're going to start with just a little bit of movement.
Take your hands above you.
They're going to be in this position with your thumb to the back.
Oh.
Just a little bit of movement and seeing yourself as a tree.
Bending to one side.
And then the other.
Gently with your breath.
Swaying side to side.
Know when you're ready.
Let your hands fall gently to your side,
Into your lap,
Wherever they're the most comfortable.
This is the time.
Just breathe in.
And to breathe out.
Breathing with the trees.
Imagining that you are breathing the very same oxygen that they are,
Knowing that you are.
Knowing that you give to them,
They give to you.
That reciprocity between us.
You Now bring a gentle awareness to your spine,
To the base of your spine.
To your hips.
With the base of your spine.
Your hips are.
Where you've been breathing into your low back and belly.
In vision rooms.
And it might be a thread of a color.
Take these roots down through the floor.
Down through the earth You touch the soil with your toes and with this.
This thread.
That's weaving down lower.
And lower and lower into the earth.
Trusting that you will be nourished.
Trusting as the trees do.
Knowing that if there's a storm.
.
.
You just blow.
Blow with the breeze.
Continuing to breathe in.
And to breathe out.
Gently at your own pace.
And we know your roots.
Have you grounded?
Giving you strength.
And comfort.
Continuing your breath.
And out.
Continued with this feeling of groundedness within your body and the connection with nature.
I do now.
Start to wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Slowly start to open your eyes.
Carry the stillness with you.
This comfort,
This ease,
This connectedness.
Knowing that you are truly never alone.
Carry this feeling with you.
And thank you for being with you.
And me and the trees.
