Hi,

And welcome to your meditation practice.

I'm Alessio,

And I'll be your guide today.

This meditation was created to contemplate that magical sensation that we feel when we just pause for however long we need,

And just become aware of our state of being.

Feeling is healing,

And so expanding our awareness to check in on ourselves and on our souls can really bring enlightenment to every day.

Whether you have a spiritual practice,

A stable routine,

Or any other ritual that brings you peace,

What's important is that these are all moments to become aware of you and your own universe.

So allow yourself to feel comfortable now,

Either sitting cross-legged,

Or on a chair,

Or simply lying down and start noticing your breath.

Allow your eyelids to gently close on their own as you exhale.

In meditation,

You can always use your inhales to focus your attention,

And your exhales to release resistance and just relax.

Let your belly stick out when you inhale,

And watch it slowly contract when you exhale.

Pay attention and notice how this gentle flow of air is moving through your body,

Ever so present,

Yet often unnoticed.

Just like your breath,

Your thoughts,

Sensations,

And emotions often go unnoticed,

Especially when you're stressed,

When you're busy,

Or simply suffering.

But when you're able to expand your awareness of yourself,

You can receive their loving insights.

Can you visualize your breath like a stream of light flowing through your body?

Does the light have a color?

Does it flow in a shape?

You can always go back to this visualization anytime you notice a distraction.

There is so much beauty in the peaceful act of pausing to listen,

Pausing to feel.

It's so easy,

Yet so difficult when we experience negativity.

When you can pause,

However,

It's like you're shining a light on this negativity,

So you can perceive it in a clearer way.

Notice how much compassion lies within this simple act for yourself.

Notice how comforting it is to tune in to yourself.

Just as you're doing with your breath,

You are shining the light of awareness on yourself,

On your needs,

Your emotions,

Your thoughts,

And even your circumstances.

And when you shine the light of awareness on these things,

You are also healing them,

Healing them.

All this beauty can happen in just a few seconds when you're able to become present with yourself in your daily life.

And when you do,

That moment expands,

Your awareness expands,

Your love expands.

As you start coming back to your body,

To the sounds around you and your own reality,

Know that you can awaken to infinite moments of enlightenment every day.

All this subtle beauty is always available to you.

With the next out-breath,

You may open your eyes again.

You are loved.
