Welcome.
Take a moment to arrive.
You don't have to change anything right now.
You don't have to feel peaceful.
You don't have to feel positive.
You don't have to have everything figured out.
For the next few minutes,
You can simply be here.
Maybe today has been one of those days when you felt like you're not quite enough.
Not doing enough.
Not achieving enough.
Not being productive enough.
Maybe you've been comparing yourself to someone else.
Maybe you've made a mistake?
Maybe you've disappointed yourself.
Or maybe you simply woke up with that familiar feeling that,
Somehow,
You should be doing better.
If you know that feeling.
You don't need to push it away.
Just notice it.
And perhaps quietly say to yourself This is a difficult moment.
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
If it feels comfortable.
Place one hand over your heart.
Or somewhere on your body that feels comforting.
Not because there is something wrong with you.
Just as a small gesture of kindness.
Now,
Ask yourself.
What am I needing right now?
Maybe the answer is rest.
Maybe reassurance.
Maybe space.
Maybe you need to let yourself cry Maybe you don't know.
And that's okay.
You don't have to find the perfect answer.
Sometimes compassion begins simply by staying with ourselves when we don't know what to do.
Imagine for a moment that someone you deeply care about came to you,
Feeling exactly as you do now.
They told you they weren't good enough.
That they should be further ahead.
That they'd made mistakes.
That everyone else seemed to be doing better.
What would you say to them?
Would you tend them to try harder?
Would you remind them of everything they had failed to do?
Programming.
You might sit beside them.
You might listen.
You might simply say,
I'm here.
You don't have to go through this alone.
It's okay to have difficult days.
See if you can offer yourself a little of that same kindness you might silently say.
I am here with you.
I don't have to be perfect.
I don't have to have everything figured out.
I am allowed to be a work in progress.
Take a breath.
And let yourself receive those words without needing to completely believe them.
You don't have to force yourself into positivity.
You don't have to convince yourself that everything is wonderful.
Maybe for now,
It's enough to soften.
Because self-compassion isn't about pretending that everything is fine.
It doesn't mean ignoring your mistakes.
And it doesn't mean giving up on growth.
It means that you don't have to become your own enemy while you're learning.
You can want to change.
Without believing that you are broken.
You can make a mistake.
Without believing that you're a failure.
You can be unfinished.
And still be worthy of kindness?
Take another slow breath.
Feel the support beneath your body.
The chair,
The floor.
Goodbye.
Whatever is holding you right now.
Let yourself be supported for a moment.
You don't have to hold everything by yourself.
And if that voice inside you is still saying,
I'm not enough.
You don't need to fight it.
Just meet it gently.
And perhaps say,
Maybe I can be a little kinder to myself today.
Maybe I can stop asking so much of myself for a moment.
Maybe I can begin again.
Take your breath in.
And slowly breath out.
There is nothing you need to prove in this moment.
You don't have to earn your right to rest.
You don't have to earn your rights to be cared for.
And you don't have to earn your worth through achievement,
Productivity,
Or perfection.
You are a human being.
Learning.
Changing.
Getting things wrong.
Trying again.
Sometimes feeling strong.
Sometimes feeling lost sometimes And all of that belongs to being human.
So for these final few moments Let yourself stop striving.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to prove.
Nothing to become.
Just here.
Breathing.
Being.
And quietly remind yourself.
I am allowed to meet myself exactly where I am.
I can be imperfect and still be worthy of compassion.
I can begin again.
And perhaps one last time For today,
I am enough.
Take one slow,
Gentle breath in and exhale fully.
Begin to notice the space around you.
The sounds.
The air on your skin.
The surface beneath you And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes take this kindness with you.
You don't have to feel completely different.
You don't have to leave this meditation feeling positive.
Perhaps it's enough that for a few minutes you chose not to abandon yourself.
Thank yourself for being here.
And remember,
You are allowed to be exactly where you are,
While still becoming who you are meant to be.
Take good care of yourself.
Namaste.
