Hello and welcome.
My name is Clarissa and I'll be guiding you through this meditation for the next few minutes.
I dedicate this to those who may be known as the strong one,
The reliable one.
Those who experience the quiet and persistent pressure to keep everything together,
Even when it's becoming too heavy to hold.
If that resonates with you,
You're not alone.
And for the next few minutes,
You're not expected to fix anything.
This space is for you to simply be and rest because strength is also built through recovery.
During this practice,
You can expect a slow pace,
Intentional pauses,
And gentle guidance to allow your mind and body to deepen relaxation.
Because this moment is to remind you that you are deserving of rest and care too.
To start this practice,
Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.
Let your hands completely rest.
Uncurl your fingers and allow your arms to weigh heavy If it feels safe,
Close your eyes or have a soft gaze downward.
Inhale deeply through your nose.
And deeply exhale through your mouth.
Letting go of all that is occupying your mind.
Again,
Inhale.
And exhale.
Release.
Once more,
Inhale and exhale.
And exhale.
Release.
Continue to mindfully breathe through your nostrils in its natural rhythm.
Feeling the cool air as you inhale and the warmth touching the inner nostrils as you exhale Let your attention drift away from everything you carried today.
And gently focus inward,
Returning to yourself Notice your body as it is right now.
Feel where you are supported.
Feel where you might be holding tension.
There's nothing you need to change right now.
You may be someone who is often seen as a strong one,
The dependable one.
The one that keeps going.
The one who carries more than others may realize.
And in this moment,
You are allowed to set all of that down.
Take a slow and deep breath in.
And exhale.
Allow your body to soften.
Roll your shoulders back and let them drop Unclench your jaw.
Release the tension from your facial muscles.
Let your breath move with ease,
Allowing yourself to relax with every exhalation.
There is no need to hold yourself so tightly right now.
There is no need to rush right now.
Just simply be.
Now gently bring your awareness further inwards towards your chest and heart Notice what's there Maybe it feels full Maybe it feels quiet.
Maybe there's something unspoken.
Whatever you find,
Meet it with gentleness.
You don't need to analyze it and you don't need to push it away.
Just allow it to exist.
Inhale… sending the breath to your chest allowing it to expand to create more space Exhale.
Imagine releasing something you've been holding.
Inhale,
Create space.
Exhale,
Release tension.
Continue at your own pace.
Silently offer yourself this permission.
I don't have to be everything for everyone right now.
I am deserving of unconditional love.
I am allowed to rest.
I am allowed to receive care too.
Let these words settle without forcing them to feel true.
Now imagine a warm and gentle wave of ease moving through your body.
Starting at the top of your head.
Flowing down through your shoulders.
Your chest your arms,
Your legs.
All the way to your feet.
With each wave,
Feel yourself softening more deeply.
Letting go of the tension trapped in your body.
There is nothing you need to prove in this moment.
There is nothing you need to fix.
Just breathing,
Just being.
Take one more slow,
Steady breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
As you begin to return,
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Notice the surface beneath you.
The feeling of being supported.
Gently invite small movements,
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
Maybe roll your shoulders or soften your neck If your eyes are closed,
Slowly blink them open when you're ready.
Before you move on,
Take a quiet moment to check in with yourself.
Notice what feels different.
Even if it's just a small shift.
Maybe it's a little more space.
A little more softness.
Let this be enough.
You don't need to carry everything all at once and you don't need to return to tension to move forward.
You can move gently,
You can move with awareness,
And you can move with care for yourself.
As you continue with your day,
Remember.
You can come back to this place within you.
A place where you don't have to push anything away.
A place where you can feel and still soften.
And that is a different kind of strength.
One that allows you to be human too.
