Close your eyes wherever you are,
Whether you're standing or sitting or lying down.
Feel whatever part of your body is making contact with the earth,
Whether it's your feet or your bum or your back.
And take a couple of deep breaths right into this place in your body.
Imagine with each exhale that you're getting a little bit heavier into the ground.
And now take your awareness into your belly.
Breathe deep into your belly.
Envision with each exhale that your belly is softening.
Take your awareness into your shoulders.
As you exhale,
Your shoulders become heavier,
Creating more space in your neck.
Take your awareness into your jaw and soften your tongue down.
Create a little space between your top and bottom teeth.
Exhale out your mouth.
Take your awareness into your head,
Into your mind.
Exhale out your mouth again and envision that you're letting go of any thoughts that feel heavy.
Just exhale them out,
Just for now.
Now take your awareness to the top of your head,
And we're going to take three breaths.
And as we exhale,
We're going to envision that our breath,
Like water,
Is going to wash all down our body,
All the way down into our feet.
Take a deep breath in,
And down it goes.
Inhale.
Last one.
Inhale.
Remain seated or with your eyes closed in whatever position you're in for as long as you like.
When you're ready to transition into the next part of your day,
Open your eyes.
