Sat Nam is a powerful seed mantra. Sat = Truth. Nam = call upon, name, identify. Truth is my identity. Let us call upon this eternal truth. Awakening the soul that we are. This is a short 10-minute meditation designed to take you back home to yourself with this mantra.

Welcome to your mantra meditation.

Today we'll be meditating using the seed mantra,

Sat-Nam.

It is the most widely used in the practice of Kundalini.

Sat-Nam means I am truth,

Sat means truth,

Nam means to call upon,

Name or identify with.

So in other ways to describe this,

Sat-Nam means truth is my identity and I call upon the eternal truth that resides in all of us.

Chanting this mantra awakens the soul and more simply it awakens the truth within us all.

Let us begin.

Ensure you are in a comfortable seat and your spine is supported.

Place your feet on the floor,

Rest your hands in your lap and gently close your eyes.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Gently now introduce the mantra Sat-Nam.

As you inhale repeat silently to yourself Sat.

As you exhale repeat silently to yourself Nam.

Allow the mantra to flow naturally with your breath.

Continue to repeat the mantra with softness,

Let it align with you rather than force it and focus on it too intently.

When you find yourself distracted by thoughts or sounds just simply bring yourself back to the mantra and continue to repeat it Sat-Nam,

Sat-Nam,

Sat-Nam.

Let the music wash over you and support you,

I'll mind the time and let you know when it's time to let go of the mantra.

It's time now,

Gently release the mantra.

Simply focus on the sound and quality of your breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Allow yourself to consider the mantra and its meaning throughout your day,

I am truth and set the intention now to live from your truth in every moment.

It is now time to leave this meditation,

Bring your attention to the room you are in.

Take a deep breath in,

Open your mouth and let out a long sigh,

Exhaling with sound.

Give your fingers and toes a wiggle and slowly open your eyes coming back to waking consciousness.
