Hello,

I'm Claire and this meditation for you uses the reassuring energy of Mother Earth.

It can be useful if you're feeling unsupported,

Ungrounded or unnourished in this time of stress.

Wishing you all the best.

Making sure you're comfortable,

Whether sitting or lying,

I invite you to shut your eyes.

And allowing your focus,

Your attention and your intention to fall softly away from your head and into your body.

I like to use an image I was given a while ago to imagine falling your attention back through your eye sockets and into the cells of your body.

So that you begin to feel right now your experience from your physical body,

Not observing from the outside,

But experiencing from the inside.

And then using your own breath cycle,

I invite you on your inhalation to imagine that not only are your lungs filling with new air,

But every cell of your body.

Right down to your tiptoes,

Your fingertips,

Your torso,

Your arms,

Your legs,

Every cell.

So on the in-breath,

There's the possibility of expansion in every cell.

And then on your exhalation,

On your out-breath,

You allow the cells to return to their natural state.

So a very simple invitation to expand on the in-breath from the inside,

Which may be nothing more than a thought.

And then just allowing your body to come to that beautiful rest as you exhale again.

Knowing that as you inhale,

If you choose,

You can add a light or a quality like peace or calm.

Or you can just breathe mindfully,

Coming in touch with your body,

Sitting,

Lying as it is here and now in this place,

In this moment,

On this patch of earth.

That's so beautiful.

So having brought your attention down into your body,

I invite you to now notice where your body is physically touching the support of the earth.

And that's literally where you feel your connection to gravity,

Whether it's your backside or your head.

Whether it's your backside,

The soles of your feet or the whole of the underside of your body.

And just imagine now,

If you will,

That rather just lying on your bed or sitting on your chair,

You are actually held in the arms of Mother Earth.

Just like a mother or indeed a father holds their baby with not with floppy arms,

But with supportive strong arms so that the baby can relax,

Secure in that hold.

And when I give you an image like this,

Your mind will either run with it or not.

And it's fine to discard my imagery or just to let the words float through and away.

But allowing the possibility of feeling supported in the arms of Mother Earth right here and right now.

Resting,

Feeling that support coming up to you.

So it's not just you relaxing down into the earth,

But there is this real sense of an upward energy coming into your body through that place where you are touching the support of the earth.

And I invite you to try another image.

That of your roots going down into Mother Earth.

Again,

Whether you imagine visually or just with a sense of connection down into the earth,

It's all good.

But just know that right now there is connection for you going down into the earth just like the roots of a tree or a plant.

And just like the roots of a tree or a plant,

Those roots become the means for the sap to rise,

The goodness to rise.

The qualities and the energy of Mother Earth to rise into your body right now.

Possibly qualities like support.

Support rising through into the cells of your body.

Into your bones and bone marrow.

Into your muscles and muscle fibers,

Your fascia.

Support into your kidneys,

Your liver,

Your heart,

Your lungs,

All your organs.

Support into your nervous system,

Which might be frazzled at the moment.

Support into your blood system to just keep going behind the scenes.

Support into your lymph system to keep cleansing you.

Support into every cell of your body where you most need it.

And maybe the energies and support of Mother Earth is also nourishment for you.

Just like sap rising in the spring,

I invite you to allow nourishment into the cells of your body.

You may not feel so nourished in your life at the moment.

Here it is happening right now.

Nourishment from a deeper source.

Kindness,

Compassion,

Wisdom.

Enjoying that sense of those qualities flowing into your cells of your body as you rest into Mother Earth.

Breathing into that support,

Accepting that wisdom,

Enjoying that nourishment.

Not having to be or do anything different.

And if you like you can pause right here to carry on feeling these qualities coming into your body.

Or you can just trust that these qualities will continue as we finish the meditation.

So in your own time I invite you to bring your attention back to your body.

Maybe give it a little wiggle.

A couple of breaths.

not really the kind of meditation I gravitate towards but I'm so glad I checked this out. I feel like I pulled a lot of power and strength up from the roots of the Earth. I now visualize myself laying in a tree is Mother Earth holding me. such a great experience Thank you Namaste πŸ™
