In this seasonal tapping almanac or series, you will tapalong with me using EFT, to tap into the season’s energy. You can also use them anytime! This track addresses those times that when you step into your power, you are perceived as being “too much”. This tapping is about owning your expansive “enoughness”- whatever judgements come your way. As always, there is space for you to tune into and tap your unique situation. Music: Chris Collins

Hello,

Claire here with the Tapping Almanac and too much,

Too loud,

Too you.

We'll be tapping for those times when as you own your expanded power,

Like in the summer when it shines so brightly,

It can be that those around you can't cope,

Judge you and want to dull you.

Especially for women,

It is also a long-term social construct that we should keep our place and be small.

Last time we tapped for saying yes to growth,

So this is to support you in that growth.

If you don't know the tapping points,

You can find them easily online or in my Tap Into Your Power course here on Insight Timer,

Or you can simply tap on your sternum or even place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart.

It all works.

What is most important is embodied focus,

So I invite you to begin by becoming present to your body in this moment,

In this place.

Let's together shut our eyes,

Lower the centre of attention from the head space into the belly space and from there take a few deep breaths,

Softening and lowering.

In-breath,

Space and light.

Out-breath,

Letting go of that which no longer serves.

Aware of the support of Mother Earth and the infinity of possibility in the heavens above.

From the heavens,

Through your crown,

To your heart and your belly,

Know that everything you need is already present for being absolutely you.

Let's start by tuning into what your big self would feel like and the reactions around you.

You may have already experienced living your unadulterated you and been put down for it.

This happens especially in childhood.

We start off unafraid and it may be that you have shown yourself with all your you-ness as an adult and been silenced or name-called or shunned.

It may be that it hasn't yet been safe for you to live your big unapologetic you,

But you have a sense of the possible dangers of shining so brightly.

In all these cases,

Real or imagined,

Please tune into some of the feelings and thoughts that come up to you when thinking of being your big you,

With your voice,

Your appearance,

Your actions and get a sense of those negative reactions.

You're too loud,

Jealous of you,

You had it lucky,

It's not fair,

It's all very well for you,

Pipe down,

Nobody wants to hear you,

It's not seemly.

Anything like this,

Just get a sense of how you are holding these reactions and see where they sit on a scale of zero to ten,

Where ten stands for the most intense.

Trust the first thought and if no number appears,

That's okay too,

You'll have a feeling.

Whatever comes up for you,

Know that this is all tappable.

You are allowed to be too much.

Be visible,

Be allowed and be you.

So,

With that sense of all the inhibitions with you,

Let's tap together and repeat after me,

Out loud if possible or in your head,

Tapping on the outside of your hand.

Even though I love my expanded self,

I'm aware of these judgments.

I love and accept myself.

Even though I want to show my biggest self,

With my voice,

My actions and my body,

I'm aware of those who want to pull me down.

I love and accept myself.

Even though being my unadulterated,

Joyful self sounds exciting,

I'm fearful of what might happen if I show myself like that.

I love and accept myself.

Then tap with me around the points or place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart and repeat after me.

All these feelings,

All these judgments,

All this putting down,

All this shaming,

All this silencing,

All these no's,

All this jealousy and envy,

All this spite,

These online judgments,

These real life judgments,

These imagined judgments.

They sometimes bring me down.

They sometimes silence me.

They sometimes scare me.

And sometimes I've chosen not to be unapologetically me.

But I don't want them.

I don't accept them.

I don't agree with them.

I refuse to take them on.

I refuse to believe them.

I refuse to live as if my magnificent self is too much.

I refuse to act as if they have the right.

I refuse to be less than my true me.

I have so much to offer,

So much to say,

So much to do.

I refuse to be anything other than unapologetically me.

My voice,

My body,

My actions,

My place in the world.

I choose to believe I can.

I choose to believe I am strong enough.

I choose to say yes to myself.

I choose to act as if I mattered because I do.

I choose to be me.

Now,

Let's take a breath and just tune into how you are feeling.

Just check in with that scale from zero to ten.

Has your number come down?

Does your body feel different?

I do hope so.

Know that you can go back,

Pause the audio when something's come up for you,

Add in your own unique words,

And tap some more.

You do you.

Imagine you are standing in your power place,

Real or imaginary,

Where you feel completely and utterly you.

Perhaps you are alone.

Perhaps there are friends or animals around you.

You may be in nature or in a room on the top of a mountain in a meadow.

Take a moment to find a place.

Imagine a place where you take a moment to feel what it feels like to radiate your true self.

And then feel love and understanding reflected back to you from nature,

From the room,

From the people,

The animals,

The leaves,

The flowers,

The air,

The ground.

You stand in your power and you radiate that power and you feel it reflected back to you.

Deeper,

Richer,

Stronger.

And you can come back to this image whenever you feel like standing in your power and being unapologetically you.
