Cindy Paulos and I was having an interesting conversation with a friend who just came back from his original hometown of Indian and he did some very important big talks.
He's gotten to be very successful here and he lives in the Bay Area and so he had many talks he gave to the colleges and the schools and they wanted to hear what was important and we had this fascinating conversation about how it was so valuable to have this inner integrity and to really know what is of value in your life and sometimes it's easy to get that off track with all the things that are out there in social media and there's a trend sometimes to just do things very quickly to get attention and there are people who become very good at it and they even make money at it.
They know how to fool people into watching what they're doing etc etc but there's still this thing of value that can't get lost that's so important which is how well I think in that wonderful thing the beautiful statement first of all to your own self be true and you have to know yourself to be true to yourself.
Everyone's an amazing being with so many aspects to your whole way of life,
Your way you were raised,
Your personality,
Your needs,
Your mind,
Your emotions,
Your soul and a lot of the other factors besides the soul often get the focus but your soul purpose is extremely important maybe more important than everything else that gets more attention.
I mean what is your soul purpose?
What's your real truth your inner truth that you're here for and are you fulfilling?
Are you actually on that right purpose?
Are you on that right path?
To do what you came here to do.
Now of course that can change it could be very different from what you thought it was 10 years ago 20 years ago but there's still this kind of inner core that will come out and and it will be your I love that song by Sting let your soul be your compass right you do you know that song it's you should listen to it if you get a chance let your soul be your compass what I was so impressed that he put out a song and it would become popular saying let your soul be your compass if you could let your soul be your compass what an amazing gift that would be that your soul can be your guide you know that that light will guide you you know to doing what you came here to do to being true to yourself and if you are if you're true your own self be true then thou cannot be false to any man and that's another one going back there to Shakespeare you know it's true if you're true to yourself you can't be false so I think we all have that option and ability to get tuned in to our true self to let our soul be our compass and there's I think no better way to do that by going inside and meditating every day to getting back to center getting back to your true self but to getting to that point where your soul can guide you it's very easy to let the other noise of the world and other things of the world distract you in fact it happens so often I mean I know I know I experience it I start out looking for something and all of a sudden I'm on one of the sites or there's so many but you know for me Facebook because I'm old school next thing you know you're already down this rabbit hole which is taking you somewhere you never thought you were going and there's people who've gotten very good at tracking you and following you and getting you to follow them in interesting ways you never thought of so you have to really become adept at knowing how to get where you're going on your journey into doing what you need to do and the reason that you came here to do it and I still feel one of the best ways to do that is to go inside to be still to be still to be quiet go to that place where you can let your soul be your compass you have to be able to listen and if you have that deep connection with yourself you can find there is this ability to be connected to that light into that love into that guidance that exists and if you have that intention not only can you have that connection you can also draw to you other things you may not have even known that will take you on that journey to help others to create things that might be of worth and as long as you are true to yourself as long as you are letting that be your compass your direct force within that is guiding you then you really have to have the faith and the strength to listen and to follow that guidance that you get and other people can be a part of that in many ways they often can be or will be but you will know what brings true and you have to always go back to that is this true for me is this right for me is this part of what I need to know and to learn from I wrote a poem which I'm going to share with you about this subject in the time that we are here what rings true to you my friend what has been made so very clear what is your purpose and what is your goal what is it that you can create to touch another's soul there is this great gift of integrity that can shine its light on through there is this true purpose that's alive there in the heart of you what is it that you are here for what is it that you truly believe it's up to you to choose the reason and your meaning in life that you wish to create and be make your time a value make your time a gift make your life worthwhile and don't just co-exist you have a purpose and you have a reason that you came to be follow that path with integrity and find the truth that you need you have a purpose you have a goal you have a reason that you're alive that you can follow and make that life you have a gift and make it real in what you do to find your true purpose in being in what's of value inside you
