The Gift Of Awakening

Many books and beliefs tell us life is a dream. Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live an awakened life? Consider your awakening and how you would live in an awakened state. This is a talk with affirmations and meditation on being awakened.

A very big aloha. I'm Rev. Cindy Paulus and I wanted to talk about our ability to awaken. There's a lot of talk and meditations and actually lots of books been written about the maya, The dream state that we are in. And the interesting part about that is of course if you're in a dream, Do you know you're in a dream? Now in most dreams you kind of just buy into it, Right? Now if life has the same ability to be putting you in a dream state, How do you know you're asleep? And how do you awaken? Now a lot of meditations, Talks, Books have been written about our awakening. And it's a very interesting subject because what do we awaken to, Right? And if you're asleep, Do you know what you're going to awaken to? Most of the times you would waken up and go, Oh okay, I'm awake now, Right? You have that selfhood that knows that you're back to yourself and it's not a dream. I think we still have that selfhood in ourselves that know at some point, Maybe when you die, That oh yeah, Okay, I'm awake now, This was all a dream. But the idea is to be able to get to that state before you die, To waken up, To awaken, To be aware of your dream state. Be aware of the maya and be aware of the influence of the illusion that you've been around. Now there's many, Many, Many books and many factors that actually may be written on the subject about why you are in your dream state, Why you are in your maya, What kind of karma, What are you working out with. And it's a strange unspoken agreement that you have with yourself that you're going to go through this maya, This life and work things out. And it can be a very good dream or it can be a bad dream. Just like any dreams can be, Right? Depending on whatever your consciousness is going through. When it's a bad dream, You actually have more reason to want to waken up than when it's a good dream. So sometimes life gets pretty hard and life gets pretty nasty and you want to wake up, Right? Like it's a nightmare and you want to wake up. I mean, Some people have been going through some really hard situations in life that seem like, Wow, This is not a very good dream. So then you awaken and then you have to deal with everything. It doesn't mean the other goes away. You awaken it and if you've created a whole life that you're living, You still have to deal with your life, But you deal with it from an awakened state. And in that awakened state, You have a chance to deal with it in a whole different way where you're not subject to dealing with the lower energy of whatever it is that you've been dreaming. And I think there's a lot of people waking up. I think there's a lot of people, A lot of people starting to realize that this is like, Okay, It's going to be better if I deal with my situation from an awakened state. So I'm going to be doing some talk meditation affirmations here about our awakening. And this is an ongoing process. It's like, I don't know, It's like going back to school perhaps, You know, A higher level school where you deal with your awakened state and you deal with your life from a higher point of view. And it's really a fascinating, Wonderful process. And you don't have to go it alone because there is a lot of other energy coming in at that point to help you. Awakening. Awakening to life. Affirmation for awakening to life. I am a flower of light born from God's garden. My heart blossoms with the gift of love. I cherish this blossoming as I awaken. I feed my soul with the inspiration it needs to blossom. Thank you, God, For this awakening to the one flower from the garden we all are. And so it is. Prayer. Awakening to life. I heard the whispers of the Lord speak to me. And a thousand-petaled lotus opened in the golden glory of the naked dawn. All souls awaken and stand now as one. A thousand-petaled lotus of light, With roots on this multi-colored earth plane, Blessed by the love of the source of creation, All seeking the completion of the dream of awakening. A breath of life. As we inherit the divine presence to reach for the one and be part of all, The fire, The flame, The air, The earth, Our home, The waters of life, All elements, All senses, All awakening right here and now, Alone and yet all one. Given the blessings that you receive, A thousand-petaled lotus opens in the sun and you awaken. You awaken and realize we are all one. Meditation on awakening to life. Meditate in that place within. With some clearing breaths, Let's go to our awakening place within. Breathing in clear light and releasing anything that may be blocking us from that light. Breathing in the light and releasing any shadows. Breathing in even deeper still and going to that heart of hearts. Going deeper into the depths of our mind and our connection to our one soul. That silence within the soul right now that is present there within you. What is here for you to really claim? Look, Look, Look from the objective observer's point of view. Notice right now in this moment that this world is a temporary home and people come and go here in their name and in God's name. The sacred word of the Lord comes for you to claim. Right now in this silence listen to that sacred word of the Lord speak to you in that silence. How can you listen? How can you hear? Beyond the silence what is present? The holy mother, The divine son, The source of all. God the creator joining us and supporting us as we live here and travel ever on. Sacred word of the Lord, Sacred silence of the one. We are here right now present in the shoreline along this present beautiful ocean, The infinite ocean of our being and we look at the shore and we see our footprints washed away by the ocean. The sands of time come and go. The breath of the ocean breathing in life, Washing away the past. Watch all of this being cleared right now so you can know what is left right now, Right here for you to see. All the gifts of love's lessons and memories, Some reflections from our soul's pure light and the blessings of God that brings us to this very moment alive in this precious gift of life. Accept this precious, Precious gift of life and breathe it in with all of its very essence. Allow it to come into your heart and your mind, Into your soul, Into your life. And so it is.
