for us to step up to the plate

we can’t run and there’s no hiding
we must fix what’s broken somehow
and use everything we’ve got
to face what we must do now

it’s a time of reckoning
it may be what we came here for
and there are many good deeds done
by those who care so much more

thanks to each person
working hard to help
and everyone who does there part
it’s going to take all we’ve got
to make it through and now restart

and so let’s choose to see
the path that we now take
