A very big Aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Palos and I really do feel that sometimes we don't understand that the intention of our life is to learn and to love and to grow and sometimes the things that are most difficult and hardest for us help us to learn and to love and to grow.
Now it's an interesting situation if you think about it because everyone wants to be happy.
We all think that that we deserve happiness yet unfortunately when we're happy sometimes we're not even aware of that good time when we're happy and how lucky and blessed that time is and we don't tend to search deeper inside when we're cruising along just buzzing along you know like over there everything's good and and so nature being what it is and that whatever that course of our life is sometimes that we need to go through those challenging things to make us look a little deeper to make us search a little more and to find what's really of value and most important in our lives and it's an interesting thing I don't know about other beings you know animals and things I don't know if they they're that way but human beings happen to have that tendency and so this planet in a way is a planet for learning for growing and for loving and for appreciating what we have and what it takes to appreciate what we have so here we are you know always thinking that you know everything is gonna be good and everything's gonna be for the best especially when we make our New Year's resolutions and so that's that's the thing no one makes a resolution to have a difficult time or a painful experience or a life-changing experience I've never seen anyone make that kind of New Year's resolution however sometimes we're not in control of that we may think we're in control of our lives but there are things that happen that are out of our control and that unknown factor is what makes life so very interesting so very interesting in the fact that wow I didn't expect that to happen but it did now how do I react how do I learn from it how what do I do about that situation and as we navigate all of those situations in our life we become more adept at understanding the way we can react the way we can live the way we can care and the way we can appreciate more what's really important in our lives and that is one of the greatest gifts that you can have is to appreciate your life and what you have and the people that you love and the things that you love in your life now that may be a pet it for me it may be walking out in nature and appreciating the beauty of nature writing but whatever your gift is it's really important for you to find out what that is that you really love most in your life and then to appreciate it and foster it to help it to grow and when you do that I think it can be life-changing I think it can really make your life more valuable to you and to what you are and what you do and as you do a life reflection before you pass away you go through this process of looking at your life in a very interesting manner much higher from your regular state of mind it's more your objective observer looking at your life as if it wasn't necessarily you looking at your life and you see that now hopefully when you get to that point you can appreciate all of the good things and all of the wonderful things that you have and what you are and what you did and that's up to us to decide everyone's decisions on what's most important and valuable and what's good is different but the reality is it's so important to realize that in the time that you've got here now when you're young you don't even think about time time goes fast you don't worry about it you have a lot of time to live but we none of us know how long we have to live and as much as we want to know we don't necessarily know so it's something that you have to be aware of no matter what your age is and no matter what time of life you have it's important to be able to appreciate what is most valuable to you and that is one of the greatest gifts that I really hope and pray that you can appreciate in your life I really bow in gratitude and I know we're all very busy so to take the time to just listen here and be able to communicate to communicate is really important and valuable to me and I bow in the deepest of gratitude and love to you
