Bringing What's Inside Out
Meditation is a wonderful practice. What would happen is you choose to bring what is inside out into your life. Yoi can choose to start bringing that state of consciousness you experience into the way you live. This is a talk and meditation.

Aloha,
I'm Cindy Pollos,
And I thought I'd talk about what's a value,
A true value in your life,
And kind of explore that gift of what is really important to you.
Sometimes it's good to take stock.
Oh,
We have so much stuff,
Right?
You ever do inventory?
Oh,
It can be quite a tedious project to do inventory.
But doing inventory in your life is an interesting thing that's a little different,
Right?
Because we do accumulate a lot of stuff,
You know,
On the outside,
Material stuff.
My gosh,
So much stuff.
I think you realize that the most when you move.
It's like,
Oh my god,
How did I get all this stuff?
What do I throw out?
What do I keep?
What's important?
What's not important?
Well,
In that same way,
You can do inventory on your psyche,
In your mind,
Your inner self.
And when you do that,
It can change the focus of what you feel,
That you're where you spend your time,
What's most important to you.
The thing is,
We have really quite a bit of time.
Although at times,
It doesn't seem like there's a lot enough time.
Especially when you get older and you think you're running out of time.
I don't know how you run out of time.
You have to run pretty fast to run out of time.
We have all kinds of time keepers,
Too.
My gosh,
When people spend on some expensive time keepers,
Right?
So it's an interesting process to go inside and really take a look at what's most important in your life and what you do spend the most time with.
And is that really the time that you spend inside?
Is that one of the most important things that you can value in your everyday living?
Now for me,
It is.
I mean,
I found out over my many,
Many,
Many years now that this is what is truly important to me,
Is that inner journey,
That inner vision,
That insight to be able to dwell in that inside place and be comfortable and learn and have a great relationship with your inner self,
Your soul self,
Your higher self,
And that part behind yourself to the higher consciousness,
Higher awareness.
In a way,
That can really help direct your life.
And if you've been doing this a while,
You might have found that this is something of great import to you.
But even if you know there's an import to it,
Have you really stopped to explore why it's so important and why you value it?
And then how you can integrate it into your entire day and your night,
How you can start living it,
Not just visiting.
I've got five minutes to visit you inside there.
But five minutes isn't a lot,
But it's very potent and very powerful.
And that's what most of my talks are around,
Five minutes.
And my meditations.
My meditations I do every morning,
I do for an hour.
And it's interesting,
If you have an hour,
How sometimes you can waste away an hour because you think you have so much time.
Sometimes you can make those five minutes as important as one hour.
You know what I mean?
So here's the process that you can go through that you probably have already been subconsciously or part of your conscious aware of what is important in your life inside and that insight to be able to focus on what's that time you spend inside and how it can be integrated into the outside.
And if you're doing this as a regular process,
You know what you go through.
You start by sitting and you probably,
If you've been doing this while,
You have maybe a meditation mat,
You probably have a candle,
You probably have a space where you can sit down and be comfortable.
For me,
I've always sat cross-legged.
I don't do my meditation in a chair unless I'm on a plane.
But I do it cross-legged.
And I do it when I'm laying down at night before I go to sleep.
I do that laying in the bed.
But there's this process you go through that you know,
You make that inner connection by taking a few wonderful deep breaths,
Wonderful deep,
Deep breaths inside.
Breathing in and getting to that in-breath and holding it for a second or two and breathing out.
And as I often say that my Zen teacher taught me many,
Many a year ago is the breath sweeps mind.
So let's sweep our mind down.
Just enjoy the breathing.
And as you do this,
You just go through your body and make a little awareness check of how is my head feeling?
How is my neck feeling?
How are my shoulders?
How's my chest?
How's my heart?
Give yourself a little time in your heart.
Ah,
A little bit of that love energy present in that heart chakra.
So important.
So valuable.
Breathing into that heart center,
Letting it expand and expand and expand and expand and expand.
And as you do that,
Look at what deep color that you're seeing as your eyes are closed,
That you see as you dwell deeper inside your heart.
And now let that energy of light and love surround you all the way up and front of you,
Behind you and either side of you,
Below you,
Until you are encircled in this wonderful aura,
A protective light field.
Now you have established your base,
Your home.
And from here in this safe place inside,
You can journey.
You can journey into that inner voyage,
Dwelling up into that soul and letting the soul have control.
And letting that soul be in control by just giving it that space.
Now,
As you are doing this,
You might see the colors changing with your eyes closed.
I do.
Right now I'm seeing more of a gold,
A beautiful blue,
Violet,
Gold.
What colors are you seeing?
Just be still and let that beautiful space inside be present.
And now that you're comfortable with that,
Allow that soul part of you to connect to the higher self,
Where the soul dwells freely and where the soul can connect you to that higher place inside.
That direct connection you have with your soul to the higher level of consciousness.
And just feel comfortable knowing that you are present there inside.
This is a good viewing point to take a look at what's really important in your life.
What is valuable?
Do you find yourself realizing when you're out in the world doing things,
When you are in that presence inside,
When you're in the outer world?
Now,
You might find it,
It starts to merge at some point.
Now,
For me,
It merges in nature.
It also can merge when I hear music.
So,
Maybe for you,
It could be different.
What brings you that joy,
That love that you feel inside when you connect to your highest self,
When you're living your everyday life?
How would you integrate this inner self into your outer everyday life?
Now,
Here are a few things you are probably already aware of.
Breath.
Breath,
Again,
As you know how important it is going into a meditation.
Breath can also be just as important to use as a prompt in your everyday outer life.
Sometimes when we're in our busy space outside,
We can not breathe consciously or be aware of our breath,
Right?
So,
Your breath can be a wonderful key to open up that awareness in your everyday life.
Now,
What brings you to that beautiful space when you're working,
Where you can bring your conscious awareness into what you're doing?
For me,
That's when I can write or I can do artwork or be creative.
But for you,
It might be,
I mean,
Some people can get in the zone when they're doing many other things.
What would that be?
What would that be for you?
How would you bring that into your life full time?
What could be that place that you could create that would allow you to be in that presence throughout the day?
What a nice thought that is.
Just staying in the light and the insight that you get,
That you go through in meditation into your outer everyday life.
Now,
Here's one of the keys.
You can program yourself to do this.
You can just tell yourself,
Okay,
I'm going to integrate my awareness,
My higher self with me right now.
You can start small because,
You know,
We get busy and driving can be distracting.
But then again,
I find that driving when you're having good music or something lovely going on can be a wonderful zone to be in as well.
Think of ways you can play with this gift of integrating your meditation into your lifestyle.
What would it take to integrate it into something you do with friends or a person that you care about?
Imagine,
Imagine just consciously bringing that into a conversation.
How would that feel?
How would that work?
See,
There's so many wonderful ways that you can make it more than just a 15,
20 minute meditation time.
So,
I'm just trying to inspire you.
I wish I could inspire you as much as that inner light inspires me,
But you have that inspiration in you and you can call upon that inspiration and that insight to bring that into your everyday life.
It's a beautiful,
Beautiful practice.
And I slowly ask you to come out of meditation and maybe write down some thoughts that occurred about how you could bring this into your life and your lifestyle.
It's amazingly wonderful what you might find in this journey.
And I am so very grateful to you for being present and being open to allowing that wonderful light and love that's inside you out.
God bless you always.
