Please make sure you're comfortable.
If you need to,
Put a pillow under your knees or put on eye shades.
Make sure that your room is at a temperature that's comfortable for you.
And we'll start with three deep breaths.
Breathe at the pace that's comfortable for you,
But take a deep inhale through your nose.
And when you're ready,
Exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale through your nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Return to your natural breathing pattern.
And just let your body relax into your mattress.
Sleep is something that we know how to do.
It's natural for us to sleep.
Sometimes our minds wander,
And we think of all the things that we need to do,
All the challenges and the stresses in our lives.
But doing that before you sleep isn't kind or loving to yourself.
And you need sleep to heal and rejuvenate your body.
Know that what you're worried about right now won't change by worrying.
On your next exhale,
Feel your head drop heavy into your pillow and relax your neck.
Unfurl your brow.
Let your cheeks melt down towards your neck.
Your jaw goes slack.
Your tongue is relaxed.
Your eyes are heavy into the sockets,
Releasing any tension around your eyes.
Feel the weight of your shoulder blades dropping heavy into your mattress.
Let your chest open.
With every exhale,
Let the wave of relaxation wash over you.
Down through your rib cage.
Feel your arms drop heavy,
Fingers release.
Feel the weight of your pelvis dropping into the mattress.
The front of your thighs relax.
Release any tension in the front of your knees or the back of your knees.
Feel the weight of your heels dropping heavy into the surface.
Know that you're loved and you're supported.
We're going on a journey of sleep.
You're going to enjoy your sleep.
You're going to have pleasant dreams.
You're going to wake up refreshed.
Let it come to you.
Counting down from 10,
You're slowly feeling your body go into that sleep state.
The muscles have started to relax and let go.
Nine.
Eight,
You're feeling more relaxed.
Seven.
Six.
You're feeling more calmness washing over you.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Your body's feeling heavy.
Two.
One.
You're stepping into warm sand and you feel that sand under your feet.
You feel the texture.
Feel the warmth of the sun in your skin and a beautiful breeze.
You feel enveloped in love and you're comfortable.
The temperature is just right.
You're walking towards the ocean.
You can smell the salt air.
You can hear the waves lapping on the shore.
You look up and you see seagulls above you.
You feel at peace.
As you continue to walk,
You see a beautiful tree with shade.
You find a spot and you lie down.
You feel the warmth of the sand on your skin,
Your body supported.
Before you close your eyes,
You look out to the beautiful ocean and you look at the horizon.
It's so beautiful.
Deep is coming naturally to you.
I love myself just as I am today.
I'm grateful to be the person I am.
I appreciate all the ways that I'm unique.
My muscles are relaxed.
I'm thankful and grateful for the good in my life.
I'm releasing all negative emotions from my system.
My subconscious is absorbing all of this information.
I'm breathing slowly and deeply,
Filling myself with calmness.
I'm letting go of all my worries and fears.
I am calm and at ease.
I surround myself with peace and pleasant emotions.
Despite how I feel,
I understand this feeling and situation are temporary.
My thoughts are slowing down.
My breathing is relaxing to my body and mind.
I am naturally stress-free.
I'm in control of my life.
I attract positive things into my life.
I trust my intuition and I'm always guided to make wise decisions.
I choose to feel peaceful.
Good things continually happen to me.
Feeling relaxed is my normal state.
I have the power to face any difficulty.
I am in control of my thoughts.
I allow myself time to heal.
I appreciate my life.
My happy thoughts help create my healthy body.
I am worthy of good experiences.
