Hello there and welcome to another Brightwood Forest adventure with me Charlotte Jean.

Take a moment here just to snuggle down.

First of all try to tighten up every bit of your body from the tips of your toes to the tips of your nose.

Tighten everything as much as you can.

Tighten your legs,

Your arms,

Your hands.

Tighten.

Tighten.

And let go.

Let go of everything and feel that peacefulness all through your mind.

Take some time here before we begin just to relax.

Relax your eyes.

Relax your face.

Let all your muscles go.

They've been busy today and it's time to just rest now.

Relax your shoulders and your arms and your hands down into your soft,

Warm,

Cosy bed.

Let your tummy relax,

Your legs and your feet.

Let your whole body melt into cosiness while I tell you the tale of the Heartwood Tree.

This evening Bramble heard a soft knock at his door and curled up next to Bramble's soft,

Fur-lined bed.

I've had some scary days Bramble,

She whispered.

Can you help me feel safe again?

Bramble nodded gently.

Of course Luna,

Let me tell you a special story my grand bear used to tell me.

Luna snuggled in,

Ready to listen,

And Bramble began.

Once upon a time,

In a land not far from here,

There was a magical tree called the Heartwood Tree.

This tree was known for its kind and soothing spirit.

Whenever anyone felt lost or frightened,

They would visit the Heartwood Tree and a special glow would surround them,

Filling them with warmth and safety.

One more bird named Pippin flew to the Heartwood Tree with tears in her eyes.

She'd been through a storm and felt very alone.

The Heartwood Tree wrapped her in its protective branches and leaves and whispered,

You are safe here little one,

Feel the love and light that surrounds you.

Pippin nestled into the tree's branches and for the first time in a long while she felt calm.

The magical glow of the Heartwood Tree filled her heart with a sense of belief in what happened.

She could always return to that special place.

You have your own Heartwood Tree inside you.

Whenever you feel scared or sad,

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Just as Bramble had said,

She imagined the Heartwood Tree's gentle glow and a soft smile spread across her face,

Always with you.

As Luna snuggled into her cozy spot,

She drifted into a peaceful sleep,

Safe and cherished under the watchful gaze of her protector,

The Heartwood Tree and her very lovely friend,

Bramble.
