Welcome.
This is a meditation to rest and let go of the pressure that you might be feeling.
So if it feels okay,
Let your eyes soften.
Let your body rest against whatever's holding you.
Let your breath stay natural.
There's nothing to do,
Just be.
Imagine holding a simple,
Empty cup.
You walk it to the faucet and turn on the water,
Fast.
It gushes,
Powerful,
Loud.
Water hits the bottom with a rush and spills over the sides before you even notice.
And still,
If you really look,
The cup never quite feels full.
That's the thing about pressure.
It doesn't fill us.
It drowns us.
It rushes past the parts of us that are thirsty for attention,
For tenderness and for time.
Now imagine the same cup,
Same hands,
Same faucet,
But this time you turn the water on slowly.
A gentle stream,
Maybe even a soft drip.
Drop by drop,
The cup begins to fill.
Not chaotically,
Not with urgency,
But with care,
With grace,
At the pace it can hold.
That's what this practice is.
That's what you are invited into.
Healing doesn't happen all at once.
Rest isn't something we can cram into a calendar.
Peace doesn't answer to pressure.
So let each breath you take now be a drop.
Inhale gently.
Exhale slowly.
Let that breath be one single drop landing in the cup of your being.
And exhale slowly and let that breath soften the edges inside you.
Again,
Inhale,
Just enough for this moment.
Drop and exhale.
There's no need to fill yourself all at once.
You don't need to force clarity or energy or ease.
You just need to breathe.
Drop.
Let your mind rest in that rhythm.
Let your body know what it's like to be filled,
Not overwhelmed.
You can't take one huge breath for the entire day.
We weren't made to.
We were made to return,
To refill,
To notice.
Can't power rest your way to wholeness.
You can't force your way into presence.
But you can come back,
Softly,
Patiently,
With grace.
Let your next breath feel like a whisper.
A quiet,
I'm here.
A quiet,
That's enough.
Maybe,
Just maybe,
Today doesn't need to be about being full.
Maybe it's about staying open.
So you can receive.
So you can rest.
So you can keep filling.
Drop.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for allowing space.
May you carry this gentle rhythm with you as you move through the day.
As you meet yourself moment by moment,
As your cup fills at the pace it was always meant to.
