I so appreciate you making the decision to spend your valuable time here.
I suggest laying in Shavasana or corpse pose.
Get very comfortable and make sure you'll be warm enough.
Now connect with your breath and take a few slow deep breaths.
Feeling completely.
Notice the belly rising and falling with each breath.
This will signal In this practice,
We're going to be taking a deep dive into the body.
Working with the body is the direct path to connecting with our true nature or being.
And in this work,
We're reclaiming consciousness from our mind and redirecting it into the body.
Awareness of the inner body is consciousness returning to its source.
Inside the body is where we can experience eternal bliss.
Feeling your body as a radiant field of energy is inviting an all encompassing sense of beingness or presence.
And the body seems to lose its normal boundaries.
This is the first step in the ultimate realization of no separation between our bodies and our minds.
No separation between ourselves and the all.
So stay with your breath.
The in breath travels up the length of your body to the top of your head.
And the out breath begins in your head and travels down the length of your body and exits out of your body.
You're just connecting with the natural breath.
And each breath brings more and more of your body.
And have the sense that your limbs are getting heavier with each breath.
The body settling in to the surface that you're lying on.
I'll be naming body parts in a systematic order.
As I name a part of the body,
Just sense into it without visualizing,
Without thinking about it.
And there's no need to try to relax.
The body will relax with sensation.
The natural relaxation of your body will then lead your mind to relax also.
And allow my voice to keep bringing you back to this moment over and over again as the mind tends to wander off.
My voice bringing you back to what is right now.
Starting with the inside of the mouth.
The ceiling of the mouth.
The floor and the tongue.
The walls left and right.
The back of the throat.
Sense how rich the sensations are in your tongue.
Now into the lower jaw.
Sense into the left ear.
The right ear.
Both ears together.
Sensing your nose.
The left nostril and the right nostril.
Move up to the eyes.
The left eye.
Right eye.
The eyebrows.
The eyebrow center point.
The forehead.
The top of the head.
Back of the head.
Down into the neck.
And inside of the throat.
The entire head as radiant sensation.
Sense of radiating outward in all directions.
And now move down to the left shoulder.
Left upper arm.
Elbow.
Forearm.
Palm of the left hand.
Thumb.
And all four fingers.
The entire left hand and arm as one.
Now over to the right shoulder.
The right upper arm.
Elbow.
Forearm.
And palm of the right hand.
The thumb and all four fingers.
The entire right hand and arm together.
And now sense both hands simultaneously.
Both hands together.
And just note the effect on the thinking mind when we sense both hands at the same time.
Spend a little time with this.
Sensing both hands.
Both hands alive and tingling with sensation.
Take a little time and experiment with this.
Try to think of something simple like an object in the room where you're at.
While simultaneously sensing both hands together.
See if you can do all that simultaneously.
Trying to sense both hands while thinking of something else at the same time.
Let's move down to the middle of the chest.
And sensation of the heart beating.
Feel the lungs expanding and contracting.
And down into the belly.
The entire back of the torso.
And the entire front of the torso.
Now into the pelvis area.
The left hip.
Buttocks.
Thigh.
Knee.
Calf.
Ankle.
Left foot.
And toes.
The entire left foot,
Leg,
And hip.
All together.
Moving over to the right hip.
And buttocks.
The right thigh.
Knee.
Calf.
Ankle.
The right foot and toes.
The entire right foot,
Leg,
And hip as radiant sensation.
Radiating sensation outward in all directions like the rays of the sun.
And now both legs simultaneously.
Feel both legs as if they were light and hollow.
Almost like they're floating.
Sensing now the entire front of the body.
The back of the body.
The left side of the body.
The right side of the body.
Both legs.
Both arms.
The head.
The entire body.
The entire body as one.
Radiating sensation outward in all directions.
Sense the entire body as if you were floating on a quiet lake.
Gentle waves undulating beneath your body.
The feet.
Legs.
Torso.
Hands.
Arms.
Head.
The entire body.
An experience of floating.
And now take a moment and have the sense that you're rotating your point of view.
Rotate your perspective from inside your body to a position above your body.
Looking down from above at your body floating.
And now rotate back into your body.
Sensing the whole body once again.
And go ahead and play with this rotation a few times from within your body to the sense that you're floating above your body looking down.
And now sense deep cold.
Deep cold throughout the body as if you were outside in the winter.
And the wind was blowing hard.
Your entire body is getting colder and colder.
And now feel heat.
You're in the hot desert under the direct sun.
The heat,
You can feel it soaking into your body.
And begin to rotate between these feelings of extreme cold and extreme heat.
Go ahead and work with this a bit.
And now feel into the very edges of your physical body.
One harmonious field of sensation.
And again,
No thinking,
Just perceiving.
The edges of your physical body seeming to melt.
And feel how this sensation radiates outward beyond the physical body.
Feel yourself as this expanded energy field.
As if you're no longer restricted to your physical body.
Feel the pulsations of your radiant body.
The entire body as pure sensation expanded outward.
And now invite a sense of joy or even bliss into this expanded body mind.
Joy spreading through your entire being.
Bliss spreading outward to encompass the entire room.
And even spreading beyond the building you're currently in.
To encompass your community for example.
And even beyond your community.
Bliss and joy spreading in an unlimited way.
This practice is a time when you can discover yourself as the ever-present background of pure awareness in which all of life is unfolding.
Just note how all of the sensations you feel as well as passing thoughts,
Emotions,
Images.
How everything is constantly changing.
Everything coming and going.
But the very core of your being has been a constant.
It's been the same for your entire life.
This is your true nature.
Unchanging awareness in which all the changing sensations are arising,
Unfolding,
And dissolving.
Always changing sensations revealing forever unchanging pure awareness.
Forever changing sensations.
Forever unchanging pure awareness.
Pure being.
Once again I'm very grateful you've taken the time to listen and practice here today.
I hope you'll rest in this sense of pure awareness for as long as it feels right for you.
