This morning when I sat and did my meditation,
I drew a card.
That reminded me to sit with the quiet of my mind.
There are days when it's hard to say that.
Today we're living in a time when energies are not easy to sit with.
There's days when we just want to rage at the world.
And the dis-ease that we find ourselves living in.
That word,
Dis-ease.
Disconnect with the easiness of there's always a place that we can come home to.
In ourselves.
A place that we can control our response.
And if we've been paying attention to that which we can control,
That which we can tend to.
Then that ripple effect can make a difference.
It starts with us.
If we all did our own housekeeping.
And match them.
What our world would look like.
What it would feel like.
And we all have ways of doing that.
And it's also okay to forget.
And times.
And just to keep on returning to that inner space when we remember.
Perhaps.
You write a word or a sentence.
In a journal,
Perhaps you speak to someone.
Or sitting quiet.
I really think that it can be as simple as that.
Making space for yourself to quieten the noise so that You can do what you need to do.
Perhaps life doesn't have to be complicated.
And we make it so.
For many reasons.
I'm not saying it's easy.
How can it be when we're plugged into the noise of life in so many ways?
I'm just offering you a reminder.
To find a little time.
And space.
To sit with the quiet of your mind.
So take a deep breath.
All the way into your belly.
Fill your belly.
Inflate.
And just hold it gently.
This breath,
This reminder,
To anchor.
Into this moment.
And let it go,
Slowly.
And take another deep breath.
In through your nose.
All the way into your belly.
And hold.
Hold.
Let it go.
Just breathe.
Let go of controlling the breath.
Let your body do what it knows how to do naturally.
Which is,
It just breathes.
Pay attention.
What's going on in your body right now.
Notice.
Label if you want.
But don't hold on to it.
Allow those feelings,
Those thoughts his emotions.
And his visions.
Just to come and to go as naturally as possible.
As the breath enters your body.
And leaves.
Everything in life has a rhythm.
Pay attention to your rhythms.
Do things feel fast inside,
Knotty?
Tight.
Like you're holding on.
Do they feel like they're flowing?
Your feelings rise up.
If they do rise up.
Then they will fall away as well.
This rising,
Falling,
This breathing in and out.
Is allowing.
Letting go.
Being present in this moment where Everything is perfect.
Allow yourself to be.
And move that awareness.
Outside of yourself.
The sounds.
In the room around you.
We're just listening.
You're not attributing a name to those sounds.
It's just sound.
And move that awareness further out.
Outside of the room.
Into the street.
It's just sound.
Follow that map of sound as you go further and further out.
What can you hear?
What are you aware of?
There's always.
Distractions.
As always.
Different layers.
Of perception.
Things to notice.
As I brain very cleverly.
Mutes.
Until we pay attention to it.
How far can you go?
Imagine.
There's a light flowing through your body.
Notice what colour it is.
How bright!
Imagine yourself being bathed in that light.
Being held.
And expand that light out further.
As it fills the whole room that you're in.
So you're floating in that light.
And join its embrace.
You breathe.
Light flows.
And your head through your body.
Out of your feet.
And around you.
Circulating.
All around you.
This is your energy.
Choose to do what you want.
What do you choose to do with it?
Maybe just sit with it and feel and notice and enjoy.
This is your light.
And whether you know it or not,
People feel it.
You feel that energy,
You feel that light.
Your only job is to keep that light.
And the right intensity for you.
To help yourself to shine as bright as you can so you can go out there and do the things that you need to do.
Carry that light within you.
To be open enough.
To notice the light of other people.
And this is the way that you sit in the quiet of your mind.
Take a deep breath in.
Let it go.
