Hello and welcome.

My name is Keri Sewell and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.

Today I want to speak to you about the differences between a new moon and a full moon.

So every 14 days we fall on a new moon or a full moon and in 28 days it goes through an entire cycle becoming another new moon or another full moon.

Now a new moon is a time where we don't see the moon at all in the night sky.

It is a black night sky,

Maybe with some stars,

Maybe it's cloudy,

But this is a time of the blank canvas,

New beginnings,

Starting a new chapter or writing a new book,

What's next for you?

It's really a great time for introspection and reflection on what's important for you in life.

How can you align with your purpose more deeply?

Maybe that's through intention setting or setting goals,

Really getting creative in the seeds that you want to plant for what you want to manifest in your life.

So new moons are really about creation and the path that we're headed on,

What's next for us.

Then we have the full moon.

When the moon is at 100% illumination in the sky,

You see every part of it.

It's a bright full moon.

This is a time of fullness,

A time of abundance.

So those seeds that you planted,

What seeds have blossomed into beautiful flowers?

This represents the full moon.

Here we can celebrate the joys and the wins in our life.

We can be in the state of receiving all of the goodness that's unfolding.

Because it's so bright and illuminating,

We can also see where we're struggling.

Where there may be darkness or healing that needs to happen,

And we can call on supports to help us on our journeys of alignment.

So full moon has this illumination effect which also affects our intuition and the ability to really connect with our spirit and see what it wants to share with us at that time.

I encourage you to.

.

.

See where you're at on the calendar.

Are we near a new moon?

Are we near a full moon?

They're quite powerful close to that time about three days before and three days after.

We can start to celebrate that energy through reflection,

Through journaling,

Through meditation,

And honoring that cycle of the new moon and the full moon.

But check in with yourself and see how is it affecting you.

Is there a greater power to the new moon or a greater power to the full moon?

Do we feel more difficulty around one of these times?

This may give you an indication of areas that you're struggling with,

Whether that is that introspection that's important to you or that abundance,

That fruition,

That gratitude of the full moon.

Alright,

I hope this was helpful for you to learn a little bit about the cycles of the new moon and the full moon.

Thank you so much for joining me.
