Many of us get upset stomachs, either simply from something we ate or emotional stressors, like anxiety and worry. This breath practice will help address and soothe the anxiety that is causing your indigestion or making it feel worse, no matter what the root of that worry is. You'll connect back to your body, where you can listen, feel, and drop into the now that allows you to move through this episode, creating space for what you ACTUALLY want.

Welcome to your meditation to soothe any anxiety or upset stomach if you're experiencing any indigestion and discomfort.

First,

I want you to make your body comfortable,

Lying all the way back,

Hands over your belly,

Embracing everything that is here that you're sitting with right now.

No matter what is going on in your life,

I want you to pause and take a deep breath in through your nose,

Inhale again,

Filling up into your hands.

One more time,

Breathe in fully,

Lower ribs expanding,

Exhale with a soft jaw,

Let your belly deflate.

Begin to breathe in and out of your nose on this same rhythm,

Fully in and fully out.

If you're noticing this sense of worry or anxiety about what it is your body is experiencing right now,

I want you to imagine your hands hugging and holding space for it,

Your breath being the thing that is acknowledging what you're feeling.

Sometimes when we are anxious or worried or feeling the heaviness of uncertainty in our lives,

The first thing to leave is our breath.

We forget that it's our breath that helps us come back to what is here,

What is true,

That acknowledges that it is okay to feel this way.

We forget sometimes that our body is miraculous,

Resilient,

And so,

So intuitive.

Perhaps your body is sharing these messages with you so that you can sit and be.

It's anchoring you to this present moment.

As you're breathing these full,

Full inhales and complete exhales,

I want you to repeat these affirmations to yourself.

It is safe to feel in my body.

I can trust my body.

I know what's real and what's not.

I can surrender to the unknown and be with what's happening here and now.

And the present is all I have.

Let these reminders sink into your body.

Continue to breathe,

Riding the wave of each breath with your belly.

Slowly begin to deepen your breath for one final expansive breath in and release.

Take your time moving out of this space,

Giving your body some extra love and extra hug as you move off into the rest of your day.
