Lição 1
Asteria - Star Maiden (Greek)
Welcome to the beginning of our journey together. And we will start by seeking guidance from the stars; Asteria is the titan Goddess of dreams and shooting stars. Her story sees her flying in her own way, by her own stars - may we seek to do the same in our own journeys!
Lição 2
Hina - Woman of the Moon (Hawaiian)
Hina started her life journey as a mortal woman, but she grew weary of the noises and stresses of the earth. So, as the story goes, she retreated to the moon to find peace and calm, and we shall do the same in our visualization, rising to the moon from earth through the stars.
Lição 3
Innana - Ancient Goddess of Love (Sumerian)
In this session, we'll enjoy together a wonderful story, of Inanna's descent into the underworld, letting layers fall away. A perfect guided journey as we shed our own layers and ready ourselves to sleep. (I will be sharing a somewhat softened version of the tale suitable for our sleep journey - but do explore the story of Innana yourself further if you wish!)
Lição 4
Nut - Goddess of the Night Sky (Egyptian)
Each night Goddess Nut reaches over the earth; her body is the night sky dotted with stars, and she holds us lovingly in her embrace. In this session, we will wash away the day in a simple visualized ritual, an exercise of surrender as the Lady of the Stars watches over us.
Lição 5
Rhiannon - The Night Queen (Welsh/Celtic)
The Night Queen Rhiannon is the Celtic Goddess of the moon, as well as fertility, wisdom, inspiration, and the night. She is also famously beautiful, powerful and generous. We shall journey with her and her symbols of the white horse and full moon and seek her guidance as we settle into sovereign sleep!
Lição 6
Pasithea - Goddess of Relaxation, Rest & Meditation (Greek)
In Greek mythology, Pasithea and her sisters (collectively known as the 'Graces') personified many elements considered vital for a happy life, including good cheer, beauty, and relaxation.
Pasithea is also the wife of Hypnos, the god of sleep. But she is powerful in her own right as the personification of relaxation, meditation, hallucinations, and all other altered states of consciousness…
Lição 7
Nótt - Personification of the Night (Norse)
Nótt is a Goddess of darkness, sleep, and dreams. She has been known by many names, including ‘The Lightless’, ‘Sleep’s joy’, and ‘The Unsorrowing’. And in our journey with Goddess Nótt (and her beautiful horse: Frost-Mane), we will explore what it is to rest in sleep, letting our sorrows and cares melt away.
Lição 8
Zorya - Goddess of Stars (Slavic)
Zorya is a Goddess representing the journey of the stars from dusk to dawn. Sometimes she is depicted as a single Goddess, and others as three Goddesses; the Zorya's. This diety will act as our guiding light as we reflect on our journeys and the sense of hope each morning can hold.
Lição 9
Nyx/Nox - Primordial Goddess of the Night (Greek/Roman)
This Primordial Goddess of the night has much to teach us; Nyx in Greek Mythology was a mother Goddess; she watched the beginning of all things. And she will watch over us as we consider seeing ourselves - as though in a mirror. And ask ourselves what is it we truly wish to create?
Lição 10
Vakarinė - Goddess of Twilight, and the Evening Stars (Lithuanian/Baltic)
Thought to be the goddess of twilight and the evening stars and protectress of all from sunset to sunrise. In Lithuanian mythology, Vakarinė is often seen as the sister Goddess to Austrine (the Dawn). Here, we explore feeling and finding a sense of safety for our time in sleep as we bring our journey to a close.
