Risk Taking Is In My Blood

My parents were both risk-takers immigrants, so when they are surprised by my risk-taking, I'm even more surprised. How can I not take risks when I was born into a family of risk-takers? It's in my blood, I tell you. I can't get rid of it, and I don't want to.

Hey everyone, Boomshekha here. I hope that you guys are doing amazing. I'm actually recording from my home stay in Kerala and forgive me for my look I am just coming from the beach and I'm just you know I just I was just so excited to share this video with you that I really really want to record it as I am which is what being a disalomance is all about so let's do this. So one of the few things that I've noticed especially traveling in India I am originally from India I was born in Delhi and so I noticed that every single time I come back to India I really noticed how different my life could have been if we hadn't immigrated to Canada or if we hadn't moved out of my parents home in Delhi and moved to the Middle East where my dad worked as an engineer if there was if there weren't a lot of different things that had happened that caused me to be where I am right now sitting here chatting with you really comfortable with English language feeling like I'm an equal to anyone that comes next to me and realizing that I can do anything that I put my mind to and this kind of confidence this kind of self-esteem this mean this shakha has come because of the fact that I I did not grow up in India and I did not grow up in a culture where I was denigrated or I was told that I wasn't good enough or I was pushed down and told that you know men are better than women are as good as men etc even though you know I sometimes I did school go to school and I'm at school in a Muslim country and that at that point you were you know told that women are as not as good as women as women are not as good as men but whenever I was at home my mother being the strong independent female as she is always told me that I could do anything I put my mind to as long as I get my education and as long as I have degree as long as I had the determination I can do anything that I put my mind to and my father said the same thing to me all the time and because of these learnings even though he came from a background that is a little bit poorer than other people right now I'm sitting in this homestay in Kerala on this absolutely magnificent journey where I get to live in different countries around the world work online use my skills as a coach as a marketer and build a business that is completely able to sustain me and my amazing lifestyle and so in this regard all of this happened because of the fact my father had a dream that he would want it just to be independent and he bought us out of India and took us to all the different countries that he lived in finally living in Canada I don't think or I think it'd be much would have been much harder for me if I had not lived in Canada in Canada to live this kind of lifestyle and I know that I'm you know I'm lucky I'm grateful for the fact that I have this lifestyle we have this opportunity here and that's one of the reasons I tell people that I cannot live a nine-to-five life and I cannot live a life back home in a traditional manner because I know that the possibilities are much greater for me I know that I will be you know doing all the work all the sacrifices that my parents took a disservice if I did not take these chances chances take these risks and live the life that I'm living right now and so it's actually kind of my gift to my parents by living this amazing life telling them you know thank you for doing all the things that you did thank you for bringing me here because without that I would not be living this amazing life so I hope this kind of makes sense it's just a few thoughts on me traveling India and how I'm so grateful to be alive and so grateful that my parents took the risk of moving out and taking that risk caused me to be powerful enough to take this risk of starting my own business and becoming a digital nomad so everything is interconnected as you can see everything matters everything is interconnected again I hope that you have an amazing day my name is Bhumika if you guys want you can check out my website the millionairehappy.
