Welcome to this loving light,
Shavasana.
I invite you to come into a laying position on your back,
Finding a comfortable spot on your mat.
Put your feet all the way to the outside of the mat and relax.
Place your hands next to your body,
Or maybe they naturally find a place on your body that needs a little bit more tension right now.
And let them rest there.
If they are on the floor,
Let your hands turn upwards to the sky to receive and downwards to Mother Earth to ground yourself and just let them fall open.
I want you to feel your shoulder blades relaxed,
Gently pulled a little bit together,
Touching the ground,
Opening your heart and your head resting on the safe floor.
Know that you are in a safe space now,
That this is your time,
Time you take for yourself to recharge and to get the most of your practice,
A time to clear your mind.
Whatever thoughts may come to your head,
Acknowledge them,
But don't hold on.
If they are important,
They will return not long after this practice.
So for now,
Let them go.
I want you to feel into yourself.
Feel the full expansion of your body from your fingertips all the way to your toes and back up towards your head.
How does your body feel?
Is it aligned?
Do you feel sensations?
And how has your recent practice changed those?
Maybe you feel more grounded and maybe a little stronger.
If you set yourself an intention at the start of your yoga practice,
Come back to it now and simply acknowledge how far you have come.
Now,
Come back to your body and feel it resting on the floor,
Almost melting into the ground.
Feel how Mother Earth supports you,
Feel her strength.
And sense the clothes on your skin,
The very fabric that you dress yourself in,
Which makes you feel comfortable and free.
And feel the air gently touching your body and feel that with every breath you take,
You inhale light and love.
With every exhale,
You release what you don't longer need.
Focus on how this loving light feels in your body.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale love and light and exhale what is no longer needed.
Inhale and exhale.
Slowly let go of controlling your breath and just fall into your own gentle breathing rhythm.
Imagine your whole body bathing in air and with every inhale,
Every cell of your skin inhales too,
Filling every single cell in your entire body with light and love.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Inhale your crown feet melted into the floor rejuvenated from this precious energy coming from the very air that you breathe every day.
You feel the energy wander up your ankle towards your calves,
Your knees,
Your upper legs.
Feel your whole legs filled with love and light.
Breathe in this gentle energy and let it move softly to your hips and buttocks.
Let it flow into your pelvis,
Your belly and from there all the way into your organs,
Filling them with love and light.
Breathe in and feel your heart expand,
Feel it open and release.
And I want you to feel your back and relax into the stability coming from the ground.
Sense the loving air that also flows through your lower back into your upper back.
Now I want you to feel your fingers,
How they lay deeply grounded on the earth receiving so much love and light.
Let your awareness wander all the way through your arms,
Your lower arms,
Your upper arms.
Let it flow into your shoulders.
Feel them relax completely.
Feel the light and the love as this peaceful energy makes its way up through your neck,
Releasing the last existing tensions.
And feel it move all the way into your head.
With every breath you take,
Your jar relaxes a little bit more.
Feel your nose relaxing and your ears and eyes sink towards the ground.
Soften your forehead and feel that your whole body has almost become one with the earth.
As you breathe,
The air slowly clears out all remaining thoughts and brings you into complete peace of mind.
You feel carried and held and loved.
As you breathe in and breathing out,
You now feel your whole body in complete relaxation,
Free of any pain or worry,
Full of energy,
Loving awareness and life force.
And it almost feels as if you're looking from above,
Seeing yourself laying on the ground,
Seeing love and light that you shine into the world.
