While most of us strive for happiness in one form or another, what do we do when happiness is not present, when we are not feeling happy? In this short daily inspiration video, I share a simple shift that can help you cultivate something deeper and more enduring. During the height of the pandemic,

I noticed something curious.

In the midst of the fear,

Anxiety,

Stress,

And uncertainty.

In the midst of social isolation and lockdowns when most of us were not feeling particularly happy.

Even when happiness was nowhere to be found,

Well-being emerged in small but significant ways for many.

And Zoom meetups and phone calls that brought us into connection and helping others and sharing inspiration and learning something new.

In the solitude in nature,

In discovering ways to contribute or express oneself creatively.

In gestures of compassion and moments of self-compassion.

When we find ways to cultivate and nurture wellbeing,

It becomes like a deep well from which we can draw nourishment,

Even amidst the ups and downs of life.
