Welcome to this meditation on embracing the new normal.
In these crazy times,
We might feel caught between this old world we are all leaving behind and this new world we don't yet fully see or understand.
And in making that transition from the old to the new,
We have to wear for a little bit the discomfort,
The uncertainty of what the new normal is all about.
And so in this meditation,
We're going to go on a visualization journey to help us bridge the gap,
To help us find comfort and peace in being in between two worlds and importantly making peace with not knowing.
So as we begin this meditation,
Let us settle in to our meditation space.
Wherever you choose to sit or lie down,
Get comfortable in your space,
Get your spine nice and straight,
Make sure you're comfortable,
Nothing's too tight.
Perhaps loosen anything,
Buckle,
Belt or anything that's uncomfortable or distracting your mind.
And now let us take a lovely deep breath down into your lower abdomen like babies breathe.
Breathe in and hold and breathe out.
As you breathe in,
You should feel your whole tummy expand,
Not your chest,
Your tummy,
Your abdomen.
Let's breathe in again deeply and out.
With every breath,
Your body just knows what to do.
It relaxes and sinks into the surface that you are resting on.
Let's take another deep breath as we completely relax into the nose,
Now through the mouth.
If you've not yet done so,
Close your eyes.
Keep focusing on these beautiful deep breaths.
Now what I'd like you to do is to visualize for me the color silver.
Visualize the silver as perhaps a big sphere of light or armor or shimmering silver foil and encase your entire body with your mind with this silver protection,
Your silver bubble,
Your silver armor.
Just be present with how you feel like your stuff is yours.
The negativity of the outside world is kept at bay.
Then your own mind,
Your heart,
Your body is clear of its own negativity.
As we connect with your meditation space,
Take another lovely deep breath with me.
Breathe out with a sigh.
As we go through this meditation,
At any point in time,
If you feel uncomfortable or any emotion you don't want to wear right now,
Just reinforce that silver bubble,
The silver armor,
Bounce it back out,
Reassert your energetic boundary that is your right.
Let us begin our journey in the old normal.
This old normal could be a part of your life that you need to let go of,
What could be the world that we live in right now.
But in connecting with this old normal and that bubble in place,
Visualize yourself sitting under a tree,
The tree has no leaves in it,
It is not a tree that has shed its leaves in winter,
It is a tree that has passed its time.
Put your back against the tree and look around you and realize that the old normal is not a tree.
The old part of your life,
The old part of the world that is moving on is a wasteland for you now.
Maybe at some point it brought you abundance and joy,
But now you look around you and you are amazed,
This place I knew is empty,
It no longer serves me,
It no longer nourishes me,
It no longer has the life essence,
The life force that I need now.
It is done,
It is exhausted and finished.
As you connect to this old normal space,
Focus your emotions on the relief of realizing what is done,
What is exhausted and finished.
Every time you feel a negative emotion come up about what is done,
What has been left behind,
What has died for you in your life,
Breathe through it and be the objective observer sitting under that tree looking around you.
Perhaps what is to be left behind is your attachment to the world as it was,
The attachment to your world,
Your life as it was.
Take a moment to absorb what are some of the key things you are being called to let go of,
Things that you knew or perhaps there are new insights,
New things coming to your mind,
To your awareness that must go now.
Just that detached observer,
Look into it,
See it,
Just take it in like you are watching a movie.
So let's not dwell here too long because what is new,
What is unknown,
What is coming is calling to us all.
So it's time to get up from under that tree,
Dust off yourself,
Take a nice stretch in your imagination and shake your hands as you shake off the past and without looking back you start walking along a path.
As you start walking further and further you start to notice a mist forming through the trees or through the shrubs and the path around you,
The mist gets thicker and thicker and as the path turns the bend you find yourself standing on the edge of a lake,
You can't see more than a few meters of feet because the mist is very very thick but on the edge of this lake is a boat.
There are no oars,
There's no motor,
Just a boat and knowing what to do,
Just knowing,
You climb into that boat and you push yourself off from the back into the mist.
The lake is like glass,
Underneath the mist the bits that you can see reflect perfectly and beautifully,
A soft ripple flows from behind you as you float on the lake in the mist.
This represents our journey into the new normal and your journey into the next phase of your life and our task is to be in the mist to not know but to be at peace with not knowing,
To trust that all you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and that there is a hand that guides you and a hand is known by many names,
Yet here it is for you now.
As you move gently through the mist,
The boat powered by some unseen force,
Breathe deeply as you take in this space of being guided,
Of moving into a new place in a new direction and being supported in your journey.
Take a few minutes to be present in the mist,
It is warm if you are cold and cooling if you are warm,
It is loving but it hides the full picture.
Stay with the mist and be with the mist in our journey towards the new normal.
Stay with the mist and be with the mist in our journey towards the new normal.
And with the softest softest little thump your boat comes across the shore,
The new arrival,
The new phase of life is about to begin and in these few moments you are infinitely more prepared and more ready to be everything you need to be in this new world that is yet to be discovered.
And yes,
You know what to do,
Climb out of that boat and keep walking one foot in front of the other,
One day after the other,
Knowing that you have a plan,
That you are important and that you have a role to play in creating this new world,
In being part of transforming life as we know it and appreciating the joy of that opportunity today.

Back into present time,
Wiggle your fingers and toes as you reconnect with the physical,
Take a moment or two and then when you are ready,
